Bride
Megan was born and raised in Glenwood Springs, CO. After college, Megan's dislike of cold weather and icy roads led her to sunny and snow-free Los Angeles. She sold some clothes, she sold some houses, she had some fun and made some friends. At some point, she also scooped up the ridiculously charming, witty, and eye-catching Kunal and got him to write her biography on a wedding website (which she quickly deleted a lot of). She also likes shoes.
Groom
Actor, producer, model, Instagram story poster...what can’t Kunal do? Raised on the hard streets of Laconia, NH, Kunal grew up with a passion for all things entertainment and moved to the competitive city of LA to pursue his dreams and ended up finding his dream woman in Megan. They say opposites attract - Kunal and Megan embody that saying. Kunal can currently be seen in season 3 of Westworld, a Universal Studios commercial or sleeping in till noon in his bed while he waits for his next big audition.
Maid of Honor
Elena aka Lenny (a nickname Elena truly adores) and Megan have been friends since elementary school, they both loved to read and were in the advanced reading group in Mrs. White's 3rd grade class. A love of reading is something they still share, they even compete with each other in challenges on Goodreads (yes, they are that cool). Elena loves to travel and has been to approximately a bazillion places so she has the pleasure of answering all of Megan's, not at all annoying, travel-related questions. She was actually a huge asset in the planning of the Spain trip that Megan and Kunal took where they got engaged! Lenny loves a good Shavasana adjustment.
Best Man
Albert is one of Kunal's first and best LA friends. Dating back to 2008, Albert showed Kunal the ropes at the now defunct G4 network and has been imparting wisdom and keeping Kunal employed ever since. Their love of wrestling, video games, movies and making fun of people has forged a strong bond that has stood the test of time. Kunal also drives all the way to Granada Hills where Albert and his wife (and soon their daughter) currently reside and it is really, really far so you know they're close. In fact, Kunal was Albert's best man at his wedding back in 2015 and now it's finally time to return the favor. Woo!
Bridesmaid
Rachel aka Rachel McSue aka Rachel Sue Ann or just plain Sue has been one of Megan's best friends since the first day of 8th grade when Megan turned to the new girl and said, "Who are you?". Megan and Rachel bonded over giant bell-bottoms, the high half-pigtail (looking back, a truly unfortunate hairstyle choice), and chokers. Much of their time in high school was spent in Rachel's red Amigo, packed full of girls, blasting music and singing along. Later in life, Rachel introduced Megan to Grey's Anatomy, an act for which Megan will be eternally grateful. If you get a chance, ask Rachel to tell you a story, she's really good at it...
Groomsman
Neil is Kunal's oldest brother. He currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with his wife, Ruah, and two kids, Nadal and Aria. He is a rising-star VP at the digital music-service, TuneCore and a current star as the lead singer/guitarist for the band, 'Stones In Pockets', Despite an 8-year age difference, Neil and Kunal seem to share a lot of interests and are commonly mistaken for each other on the phone because they sound alike. Neil also changed his last name to “Bhay”, a blend of his original last name “Shetty” and his wife’s original last name “Basker”. This is why Megan and Kunal have decided to change their last name to “Mashetty”...maybe. ;)
Bridesmaid
Alison and Megan have been friends since they were 11, their friendship started with penguin slides, drive-by lickings, and trips to the library where they read through the entirety of both the Babysitters Club and Sweet Valley High series. Then there was their punk phase, complete with heavy eyeliner, spike collars, studded belts, and concerts where they moshed. When Alison was crowned prom queen their senior year, Megan was her date. After college, they both ended up in LA for a short time while Alison was working towards her doctorate in psychology (she’s a smarty pants). During their shared time in LA they regularly spent way too much money at Whole Foods on coconut water, iced tea, and sparkly water. Fun fact - Alison is also getting married this year!
Groomsman
Tarun is Kunal's other older brother, the middle child. A seasoned stand-up comic, he is commonly mistaken for Bollywood superstar, Bobby Khan, and Vinny-Barbarino impersonator, Tony but if you check out Tarun's webseries "Brothers" on his YouTube channel you will see that they are all different people. He is also a published author (Laughing in Hell) and reality TV star who can bust out some serious dance moves when love is at stake (Flirty Dancing). Tarun lives on the floor below Kunal and Megan but only comes up to visit their cute dog Barkley or if he needs to print something.
Bridesmaid
Sheena and Megan met while working at Bloomingdales in Century City. They were not fast friends.... Thankfully, constantly being mistaken for one another forced them together and they eventually decided the other one wasn't so bad. They still get asked, "Are you sisters?" almost every time they are together. When Sheena and Megan first met they spent their days draining their bank accounts at the Whaler and The Brigg where Sheena tried (unsuccessfully) to teach Megan to dance. They have since gone on to become responsible humans and have traded the bars for workout classes and hiking. Sheena never agrees to start at 6 am like Megan wants (neither does anyone else) but Megan loves her anyway.
Groomsman
Sean and Kunal were suitemates from fall 2006 to spring 2007 at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. One of the last few remaining connections to his days in the east coast, Kunal used to play a lot of nerdy computer games with Sean like World of Warcraft and they would talk to each other through headsets even though they were like 15 feet away from each other. They also walked to the local Best Buy for new release Tuesdays every week so Kunal could waste his money on the latest DVD releases. Sean works in consulting, recently got married to Molly in Cape Cod and he can also tell you lengthy stories about people from his work that you don't know anything about.
Bridesmaid
Megan and Mari have Dundee, Mari's dog, to thank for their friendship, It's too long a story for 800 characters but feel free to ask about it at the wedding. Megan and Mari (along with Adrian) were next-door neighbors in Santa Monica. Within a week of meeting they had keys to each other's houses. Megan knew they would be friends for a very long time when she came home from work one day to find her door wide open and Mari in the kitchen using her microwave. Mari still lives in Santa Monica and since Megan misses Santa Monica, Mari often hosts their regular family dinners where Megan does the cooking (Carmen helps too) and Mari pours the wine. If you ever need to bribe Mari, try sushi from Sugarfish and Haribo gummies.
Groomsman
Sam is a straight up good dude who also was an editor at G4. the same company Kunal worked at when he first moved to Los Angeles. Sam also worked on a movie Kunal's brother, Tarun, produced called, "Bobby Khan's Ticket to Hollywood" and somehow side-stepped Tarun to become really good friends with Kunal instead. He currently lives in Hollywood with his lovely new wife Dayane, edits ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, is close friends with Pauly Shore and, legend has it, he once ate 50 Chicken McNuggets from McDonalds as a bet. He won. Easily.
Bridesmaid
Megan and Carmen met in 2011 when Megan first started working at Gibson International. Megan would interrupt Carmen a million times a day to ask questions that all started with, "Can I ask you a question?". Carmen was really nice so Megan kept asking. They quickly realized they had a lot in common, both having come from CO, having matching cars, and even having lived on the same, very small, street at the same time. Carmen is the only person to successfully get Megan to go to Las Vegas. They went for Carmen's bachelorette party in 2014 where Carmen broke her toe (rendering her wedding shoes unwearable) while trying to teach Megan and Mari to twerk. Fun facts about Carmen, she loves a good calendar invite, hates cut flowers, and is your go-to person if you need an accountability buddy.
Groomsman
Kunal and Mario first met each other in 2012 at rising multi-channel network, Machinima, back when Kunal was called 'Mondo', Mario was called 'Red' and Machinima was called a "fun place to work". Since then, they've both learned each others real names and have gone on to enjoy many a music festival, club, First Friday and party together with their group of amazing friends known as the Jobys. Mario currently lives in Glendale with his wife, Tiffany, and continues to be ridiculously nice to the point that Kunal suspects he's hiding a deep dark secret like a murder or something. WHAT ARE YOU HIDING, MARIO?!
Bridesmaid
Elizabeth aka Liz, aka Izzy, aka Iz aka Izabel and Megan met when a highschool friend brought Liz over to Megan's house the summer after freshman year of college. Liz stole Megan's pajama pants and Megan was sure she'd not be seeing Liz again. She was wrong. Liz and Megan spent the next 9 years living together in both Colorado and California running totally pointless, but thoroughly entertaining errands, fighting over who got the bigger room and watching Snapped marathons on Christmas because they both worked in retail. Liz always changed the clocks and Megan made sure they paid their bills on time. It has often been said that Liz was Megan's most serious relationship before Kunal. Don't listen to Liz when she tells you she's the funny friend.
Groomsman
Kunal and Mehdi first met at the the start of their acting careers on the very progressive, not stereotypical at all and very much cancelled NBC show “Outsourced”. Mehdi quickly became Kunal's token brown friend in LA and Mehdi's conspiracy theories have proven a consistent source of entertainment for Kunal. When they both lived near each other in West Hollywood, they would sometimes work out together (when their injuries didn’t get in the way) and also run auditions for one another when they had to turn in a self-tape. Mehdi currently lives with his girlfriend, Amber, in NoHo and thinks lizard people are real.
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Megan met while working at Bloomingdales, Megan thought Alyssa was a little ditzy and Alyssa thought Megan was a little too serious about being a salesgirl at Bloomingdales… turns out Alyssa wasn’t ditzy at all and Megan wasn’t quite as serious as it first appeared. Alyssa quickly became Megan's first real friend in LA. Megan and Alyssa can often be found talking about that one time, with that one person, at that one place. They can never agree on the details but they always laugh their way through it... until Megan starts REALLY laughing. Alyssa hates Megan's laugh. She also hates avocado (crazy, right?) and mayo. Despite hating avocados, Alyssa loves food and is constantly finding "seriously, the best thing I've ever eaten".
Groomsman
Brian "Sully" Sullivan met Kunal at G4 when Kunal was first starting out and Brian was an established veteran editor. Brian would let Kunal take naps in the corner of his dark edit bay and they have remained great friends ever since. Brian lives in West Hills with his wife Courtney and is father to a ridiculously cute and pleasant 2-year old named Hudson. Brian is also known for his famous countertop lean (ask him to do it for you) and for giving Slim Jims away to random strangers.
Bridesmaid
Jessica and Megan have been friends since middle school... it was in the hallway outside of Mr. Dana's science class where Jessica, in her red plaid pants, blew Megan's mind by telling her that all of the members of Hanson were boys. For the remainder of middle school, Jessica and Megan spent countless hours on their Girl Talk phones taking turns playing each other sappy songs, talking about boys who wore eyeliner, and planning which bathing suit to wear to the pool on Friday night. Jessica and Megan still talk on the phone but there is decidedly less talk of boys who wear eyeliner. Jessica is currently Megan’s hero because she is working towards a degree in sustainability. Megan is jealous, she wants one too.
Groomsman
Kunal and Christian first met each other at the Comcast building back in 2008 and have remained close friends through the good times and bad. They also save each other 100s if not 1000s of dollars in therapy bills by venting to each other whenever necessary. Currently living in Encino, Christian is an aspiring filmmaker who likes to wear scarves in photos. Christian also has a lot of wisdom to impart, even if you don't ask for it. He is known for his famous catchphrase, "Why you so stupid?", something he should really trademark.
