Flight options, best driving routes and good hotel recommendations for our out-of-town guests!

Travel Note

Driving Information

There is three major ways to get to get to our area! The two shortest routes (fully depending on traffic) is the I-95 Coastal route later taking you inland through SC and the Northern I-75/I-85 route taking you through Atlanta, these will both take you about 10 hours (traffic permitting). Our favorite route is about 10.5-11 hours but has minimal traffic. We liked to take the I-75 up to Macon, GA and from there take local roads through Athens, GA to get to the I-85, which then takes you to I-26 which runs through our area!

Flight

Asheville Regional Airport

Allegiant flies Thursdays and Sundays from SFB in Orlando straight to AVL, there are also other options with layovers at other airports. There are also a few different rental car places at the airport but i definitely recommend using Hertz.

Flight

Charlotte International Airport OR Atlanta International Airport

These are two other options, Charlotte airport is about 1.5-2 hours away by car and Atlanta airport is about 3 hours away by car. Both airports have plenty of rental car places to choose from!
