Things To Do

Here's some of our favorite things to do (and places to eat at) in the area!
Downtown Hendersonville

Downtown Hendersonville

401 North Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792

Our favorite place around to grab some great food is of course downtown Hendersonville! Our favorite is breakfast/lunch spot Arabella's, other great restaurants include Mezaluna (Italian), Umi (Japanese), Postero's (contemporary American bistro), Shine (fine dining), Indian Aroma Bistro, and Champa (Asian, Thai).

The Biltmore

The Biltmore

1 Lodge Street, Asheville, NC 28803

A staple of the area The Biltmore is a historical masterpiece! They also house some delicious restaurants! Tickets tend to run out so if you want to go here make sure to purchase them in advance (you also need tickets to the estate in order to eat here, or you need to stay at the village hotel). This is about 45 minutes from our home!

Chimney Rock State Park

Chimney Rock State Park

431 Main Street, Chimney Rock, NC 28720

This is one of the first places we visited when we were deciding to move here, close to our home with a wonderful view of Lake Lure and the surrounding area! With the fall colors around it will be breathtaking. You can either hike up to the top or take a bus!

Blue Ridge Parkway

Blue Ridge Parkway

3884 Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC 28803

Probably one of the most beautiful places to drive in the eastern united states with views down onto Asheville and the surrounding area, highly recommended with the fall colors! There are also plenty of great hiking trails along the road to take advantage of.

Pisgah National Forest

Pisgah National Forest

NC 28714

Looking for a great outdoors experience? Look no further! Visible from our home there is Pisgah National Forest housing hiking trails, lookouts, and even the NC arboretum! Oh yeah, did i forget to mention, there is also HUNDREDS of waterfalls!

Point Lookout Vineyards

Point Lookout Vineyards

408 Appleola Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792

Looking to try some local wines and have some amazing views? Point Lookout winery is the place, around this area there is also plenty of apple picking to be done which is a great fall activity!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Last but Definitely not least is the gem of North Carolina, the Great Smoky Mountain State Park! With hundreds of trails (including the world famous Appalachian trail) and hundreds of waterfalls the Great Smokey Mountains gives visitors views they wont quickly forget, its a bit of a drive but worth every minute. Make sure to keep an eye out for black bears whilst you're out there exploring!
