Savannah (SAV)

Although technically in South Carolina, Palmetto Bluff is located right outside of Savannah, Georgia. The closest airport is Savannah/Hilton Head airport (SAV). Once you fly into Savannah, Palmetto Bluff is 25 miles or approximately 35 minutes from the airport. Ubers and taxis are readily available, and car service can also be arranged in advance.

Flight

Charleston (CHS)

If you are planning to tack on some time exploring Charleston as part of your trip to South Carolina, you might want to fly into Charleston and rent a car to drive to Palmetto Bluff. The drive is just under 2 hours and car rentals are available at the airport.

The Montage Palmetto Bluff

All wedding festivities will be taking place at Palmetto Bluff, so this is the closest and most convenient place to stay as you will be on property. Everything on Palmetto Bluff is within walking distance, or accessible by bike or golf cart. If you are staying at the Montage, you will have access to bicycles and golf cart shuttle service, as well as the use of the Montage swimming pools, golf course, tennis club, shooting range, marina, fitness centers and spa. If you are planning on staying at the Montage, there is no need to rent a car. The Montage has a fleet of courtesy cars available for guests to use free of charge if you are interested in venturing off-property. Wedding Rates: Standard King Room: $269 nightly, plus tax. There are several houses available to rent on the Palmetto Bluff property that are privately owned. The houses are of various configurations and accommodate different guest counts. If interested in renting one of these homes with friends and/or family, please visit VRBO.com or Airbnb.com and search "Palmetto Bluff" for available options. On average, rental homes at Palmetto Bluff cost $800 - $1000 nightly, plus taxes, resort and rental fees. Please note that only certain homes come with access to pool, golf and fitness center. Also, check out VRBO/AirBnB options in the town of Bluffton, which is 10 minutes off the Montage’s property.

The Hampton Inn is just 15 minutes from Palmetto Bluff, and offers guest rooms with a king or two queen beds as well as studio rooms in similar configurations with a sleeper sofa.

If you are interested in making a beach vacation out of your trip to the Lowcountry, Hilton Head Island is approximately 40 minutes from Palmetto Bluff and is home to many resorts, hotels and vacation homes.
