At the Bluff
Water Activities
Palmetto Bluff is known for its water excursions along the May River waterways, and water trips are one of the best ways to really see the South Carolina Lowcountry. Options include private boat tours, water excursions, dolphin tours, kayaking, fishing, and paddle boarding. All excursions are booked through Outside Palmetto Bluff, which is located on property. OPB is only for guests of Palmetto Bluff. We recommend that you book any excursion in advance, as these fill up quickly. We highly recommend Captain Boo, if he is available!
Spa Montage
Set beside serene waterways and Spanish moss-laden oak trees, Spa Montage will lull you into a peaceful state of mind, body, and heart, or help you get wedding guest ready. The Spa is located within the main inn.
Swimming Pools
There are three primary pools at Palmetto Bluff. At the main Montage Inn, both the Family Pool and Spa Fitness Pool provide options for poolside fun and/or exercise. The Canoe Club Pool, located in Wilson Village near the private homes, is larger and very family-friendly. If you choose to stay at a private home in Moreland Village, there is also a family-friendly pool there.
May River Golf Club
Take in the majesty of century-old live oaks and serene native landscapes as you linger on the scenic, 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. Woven throughout the May River Forest are 7,171 yards, with several holes on the banks of the river. While you're at it, take some time to enhance your game in the world-class practice facility.
Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club
The Palmetto Bluff Shooting Club features 13 sporting clays stations winding through an expansive 40-acre forest. An elevated and covered 5-stand station, plus a wobble deck field make for a total of 15 shooting sites.
Boundary Bowling + Lounge
The social hub of Moreland Village, the Boundary features a four-lane, state-of-the-art bowling alley and game room, equipped with pool tables, a foosball and shuffleboard table, board games and card tables.
Wilson Lawn + Tennis Club
The racquet club includes eight Har-Tru tennis courts with four courtside shelters, two bocce courts, six pickleball courts, one basketball court, and a well-equipped pro shop and pavilion.
