Are kids invited?
Answer
We love your children - really, we do! - but the only children invited to the Friday evening wedding ceremony and reception are our own. We understand that you might have kids in tow for your trip to the Lowcountry, so rest assured that we will help you find some child minding options, if necessary. Palmetto Bluff is a very family-friendly locale, so if you want to make a family vacation of it, there are plenty of things to do throughout the day.

What is the attire?
Answer
A late July evening in South Carolina will be warm and humid, so please plan your cocktail attire accordingly. Although the buildings at Palmetto Bluff are all air-conditioned, a portion of our cocktail reception will take place outdoors on the veranda, before moving inside for seated dinner and dancing. Ultimately, we want you to feel comfortable and enjoy the evening, so if you decide that your shoes are too high or your top button is too tight, we recommend you let it all hang loose and enjoy.

Is there a gift registry?
Answer
NO GIFTS, PLEASE. We have everything a couple could wish for, including great friends traveling to celebrate with us. Your presence is a gift to us.

Will Ozzie be there?
Answer
Unfortunately, Ozzie will not be traveling to Palmetto Bluff with the rest of our family. Although we would love to bring him, three factors swayed our opinion: 1.) transportation; 2.) heat & humidity; 3.) GATORS.

What about COVID-19?
Answer
After rescheduling from last July due to the pandemic, we are hopeful that by July 2021, the virus will be under control and our second attempt at a wedding will go off without a hitch... or a mask. Palmetto Bluff is a very private, gated community spread out across 20,000 acres, and not just one hotel. There will be many opportunities for you to distance yourselves from other Palmetto Bluff guests. The Montage is a five-star hotel, and their cleaning protocols are 100% within CDC guidelines. Please note that the ceremony will be held indoors in a small chapel, and the cocktail reception will move from outdoors to an indoor space with A/C for dancing. One of the reasons we postponed from 2020 was to be able to have a fun, intimate celebration with close friends and family. We recognize that some of you may feel uncomfortable traveling or celebrating with people outside of your bubble, and we completely understand if you choose not to attend.
