Our Wedding Venue shares a property line with Rocky Mountain National Park. Rocky Mountain National park has many hiking trails that lead to alpine lakes and waterfalls, wildlife, and a scenic drive along one of the highest paved roads in the national park system. Davis and Kristy would recommend kayaking, hiking, or driving up Pikes Peak. (10 minutes from Estes Park)
Denver Milk Market, Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall all have amazing bars, food, and things to do while you visit. We would recommend stopping by Blake Street; Tap Fourteen, The Refinery, Swanky's and 1-UP are some of Kristy and Davis's favorite bars and local hangout spots. (1 1/2 hours from Estes)
Golden is a city and former gold rush town at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Davis and Kristy spend their summers tubing on Clear Creek and would highly recommend. Tubes are available for rent in the town. Golden also has a variety of easy to hard hiking trails, in addition to some delicious restaurants. Davis and Kristy's favorites restaurant in Golden is Woody's Wood Fired Pizza. (25 minutes from Denver, 1 1/2 hours from Estes)
Red Rocks is a historic concert venue, park and amphitheater in Colorado. We would recommend stopping by for a concert, yoga on the rocks, or to hike the wonderful surrounding trails. Morrison, the neighboring town, has a river walk and is home to one of Kristy and Davis's favorite restaurants "The Cow an Eatery" and "Willy's Wings" (30 minutes from Denver, 1 1/2 hours from Estes)
The Renaissance festival is a 16th Century Medieval Amusement Park! Saturdays and Sundays only! Kristy and Davis favorite things to find here include wine slushies, delicious turkey legs, and a variety of local artesian crafts. If you are planning on staying the weekend would recommend checking this out. As a disclaimer there is quite a bit of uphill walking and the event is outdoors. (1 hour from Denver)
