Question

High Altitude!

Answer

We want to remind all our friends and family that our wedding venue is at a higher altitude. Della Terra Mountain Chateau elevation is 8,296 feet; remember with the elevation that one drink counts as three! Please drink plenty of water and be mindful to catch your breath, as our air is really thinner. Arriving a couple days before the wedding will help you acclimate at a lower elevation. You may consider staying in Denver or somewhere else on the front range for one night before ascending further. Symptoms of altitude sickness include headache, nausea, and shortness of breath and in most cases it's usually mild and solved by descending in elevation. Friendly reminder that you get intoxicated faster at a high altitude.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal or Black-tie Optional. For our summer wedding, our ceremony will be held outdoors with an indoor reception. We suggest that men wear a lightweight suit or slacks with a button up shirt and women wear a cocktail dress or nice pantsuit (in any color excluding white).

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

When you arrive at Della Terra, the transportation staff will instruct you where to park. The transportation staff will pick you up at your parking spot and take you to the ceremony location. Transportation staff will be available to take you to your car in the evening. You may always leave your vehicle at Della Terra and pick it up the next morning. Please do not drink and drive.

Question

What health and safety measures will be in place?

Answer

We can't wait to have all of our favorite people together in one place! You and our wedding vendors' health and safety are our #1 priority. We ask guests flying domestically or internationally, to please get a rapid COVID test 48-24 hours prior to the wedding to be sure they are negative. We are additionally requesting that any guests traveling by car from outside the area, as well as guests not yet fully vaccinated and unable to quarantine - to please obtain a negative COVID test prior to attending. If you feel sick or are experiencing loss of smell and taste on the day of the wedding, please do not attend. While it's not a requirement for our wedding, we completely understand and respect any guests who may wish to wear a mask on the day (masks will not be provided). We are NOT requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated and boosted as we trust each of our guests to make their own decisions based on their individual situations and beliefs. At this time we are expecting between 50-75 guests. The ceremony is anticipated to be outdoors, but the reception will be indoors. If COVID related concerns prevents you from attending, we understand. We know this is a lot of information to digest and we appreciate you taking the time to read through this note. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Therefore, we ask our guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding and if you have any concerns about this please contact us directly.

Question

Are kids welcome at the venue?

Answer

The only children in attendance will be those in the wedding party or immediate family members. All children in attendance must be under adult supervision at all times. Please note that children under the age of five (5) will not be permitted at this event or at the Della Terra Chateau, as there is not a separate event area for children. Children can enjoy the celebration and have fun at the event, while under careful adult supervision.

Question

Mountain Road Driving

Answer

Driving around in the mountains of Colorado is a normal part of visiting the area and also a necessary part of getting to the wedding venue! The winding steep roads can be intimidating for tourists and those unfamiliar with driving in the mountains but there are some simple tips and etiquette that can help. Shifting gears, pulling over to let faster traffic pass you when there is only one lane on each side, and keeping an eye out for wildlife.
