Why Traverse City?

Answer

We are Michiganders at heart. We are so excited for our out of town guests to experience the magic of Northern Michigan in the summer and to start our marriage in a place that means so much to us. Cara's parents live on Old Mission Peninsula (an area you should definitely visit!).

What should I wear?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable and feel good. Kristopher will be in a suit and Cara will be in a dress, but you do you! The ceremony will be on natural ground and many of the day's events will be outside.

Can I bring my kid(s) to the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids so much, but we will not be able to accommodate them on our wedding day. We will have a couple kid-friendly events earlier in the week, and we'd love to have them join us! If you need help brainstorming childcare options or have specific breastfeeding needs, let's talk.

But wait - we see some kids at the wedding.

You do! Our niece and nephews will be in attendance. In fact, it's our niece Ella's 4th birthday! Get ready to sing happy birthday for our favorite girl!

I have dietary restrictions or other specific needs I'm concerned about. What should I do?

Answer

You should call/text/email us! It's important for us that everyone is comfortable at our wedding, and we'll do everything we can to make sure that's the case.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We know our guests have lots of different ideas about where they'd like to stay, so we decided to allow you all to choose what works best for you and/or your friends and family. If you're having a hard time deciding or feel stuck, please don't hesitate to reach out.

How do I get around?

Answer

You're not in SF/Detroit/GR/LA/Chicago etc. anymore! Getting cabs and Lyfts can be challenging, so please plan accordingly, especially for the wedding ceremony. We included some ideas on the Travel tab.
