Question

Answer

Our wedding is RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

what should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Overall, our wedding has a casual/cocktail attire theme. Please refer to the event RSVP sections for attire suggestions throughout the day/evening.

Question

Are the venue and festivities Covid safe?

Answer

The venue has both indoor and outdoor options for gathering and entertaining. There will be no formal seating arrangements so our guests can feel comfortable gathering throughout the property. We strongly urge our guests to have an updated vaccination record, including current boosters. For those unable to have a current vaccination status, please administer, at minimum, a home Covid test on the day of our wedding. A PCR test prior to the date would be ideal, but we understand the difficulty of obtaining this test, especially those who are traveling from afar.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Yes! Please join us after the wedding festivities for an extended "after party" at the cabins & pavilion located directly on the property. There will be a bonfire, music, smores, adult beverages and shenanigans! Please rsvp on our website if you're interested in staying in one of the 17 cabins! On Sunday morning, please join us back at the cabins & pavilion for a continental breakfast and an opportunity to recover and share stories of the night prior. Please rsvp on our website!

Question

what time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at 4:30pm to mingle prior to the ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. Please make sure everyone is on time so we can get the party started as scheduled! If you've reserved a cabin or are staying in a tent, you may arrive at 4pm to set up and drop off your gear.

Question

Are there vegan/vegetarian options available?

Answer

There will be vegetarian and vegan options available, but please let us know if you have any allergies we should be aware of. If there are specific accommodations and/or dietary restrictions we should be aware of, please be sure to contact us NO LATER than MAY 21st, so that we may notify our Caterer of your requests.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

Camp Kiwanee is located in a small, remote town. Uber & Lyfts are very limited. It is recommended that you plan ahead and make arrangements in advance. Driving to the location will be the easiest method. If you plan on indulging, we strongly encourage you to stay in a cabin on-site or bring a tent. They only require an RSVP found on our website! Keep in mind, cabins are limited. If you must drive, there is plenty of parking available at the venue. You may park overnight if necessary!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have reserved 17 complimentary cabins on-site for our guests! However, due to limited availability, RSVPs are required for these cabins. The option to RSVP for the cabins can be found on our website under the Event section titled "Cabins." In addition, you may bring a tent or camper (no hookups however), if you prefer or if the cabins have been fully booked. If rustic isn't your style, Airbnbs are suggested in the South Shore area. In addition, we've provided a list of nearby hotels on our website.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

June in New England can vary day to day. Extreme temperatures of +90⁰ as well as chilly, rainy days can all be expected. We suggest checking the weather prior to the event and day of! The event itself has both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Question

Do I need to reserve a Cabin

Answer

yes, there are 17 cabins, most cabins sleep at least 4. We would like to have an idea of how many people will spend the night and try to assist with cabin assignment.

Question

My partner and I RSVP'd for a cabin, does that mean we get our own?

Answer

Since there are only 17 cabins, with at least 4 cots in each, we will do our best to group families and friends. If you would prefer privacy, we would suggest bringing a tent.

Question

If I am staying in a cabin-what do I need to bring

Answer

There are cots with a mattress. You will need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets and blanket with pillow. The rest depends on you- basics suggested-head lamp, comfy clothes or PJs, toothbrush, soap, washcloth, bug spray.

Question

What if I am not sure I want to spend the night?

Answer

If you are unsure-bring a bag with stuff and a blanket and pillow. Feel free to throw a tent in the car and if you don't have one there may be extra cots or the pavilion available. We don't want people driving when they should spend the night for safety.
