A great site about all there is to see and do in the Finger Lakes region.
Where our wedding will be held (for map reference).
Farm to table meals served overlooking Cayuga Lake. From a casual brunch to an engagement dinner with Kristin's parents, we've had some seriously delicious meals at 1833.
Local tavern across from the Aurora Inn serving class American pub fare. We like a casual meal on their outdoor patio.
Need a local coffee? Gift? Morning pastries, craft beer or an item that you forgot at home? Check-out the Village Market at the Inns of Aurora, they have it all.
We fell in love with Heart and Hands while visiting the Aurora Inn for our wedding tasting. It's up the road from the Aurora Inn and the dark horse of finger lakes wine. They focus on Pinot Noir and Riesling -- be prepared for absolutely incredible wines in a "no frills" setting. After you're done tasing, consider checking out nearby Salt of the Earth for dinner.
Beautiful outdoor tasting location with views of Cayuga Lake. We like sipping on the dry rose in on of their cozy adirondack chairs.
Locally sourced and delicious -- we recommend visiting here after enjoying an afternoon of wine tasting at Quarry Ridge and Heart and Hands. Open Friday and Saturday only 5-8pm (call for reservations).
We love this place. A super causal wine country hang out that locals rave about. THE best local weiners served alongside super interesting wines.
Paul took Kristin here after they got engaged for a celebratory glass of bubbly!
Another stop we made on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.
One of our FLX favorites and an experience unlike any other.
Ithaca is gorges! Lots of hiking, shops, restaurants and camping (if that's your thing!)
The Gorge Trail to Rainbow Falls is on our FLX bucket list and a must-do when in the area.
Cider, beer, bbq, live music, CBD — oh my!
Quintessential upstate lake town set on one of the most beautiful finger lakes.
The "Grand Canyon of the East" and a must-do when visiting Upstate New York. Hiking, camping (or the park's hotel), and where we took the picture above in front of the Upper Falls.
The best beer and a good place to hang.
Kristin's favorite coffee in the ROC.
There is just something about the burgers and hot dogs ("hots") in the ROC. This is where Kristin's dad talked her out of being a vegetarian as a teenager — by putting a burger in front of her.
Local frozen custard shop to blow your mind. This one is on the shores of Lake Ontario in the Charlotte (shar-LOT) section of Rochester. You want to grab the Chocolate Almond or Peanut Butter cup (trust us) and take a walk on the pier.
Bambi's favorite. Pick up a treat for your pooch and check out the mansions, museums, and restaurants in Park Avenue district of town.
The. Best. Donuts. Ever. Served at Glen Edith, too — but pick one up here and check out the public market down the street (pubic market open T/Th/S).
Bring your passport! If the border to Canada is open, you might never be closer to this wonder of the world (even though it is still about two hours away). We like the Canadian Falls, best.
The home and now museum of Susan B. Anthony, a pioneer in the women's suffrage movement.
Seneca Falls is the birthplace of the women's rights movement in the U.S. Visit the historic site where it all began.
