Kristi's Ride or Die, long time college friend, Kayleigh, has been through it all with her! She's the friend everyone needs in your corner, and Kristi is so grateful to have her in her life! They met by accident, taking the same Biology 101 lecture in 2014. One day their 8am class was cancelled last minute, so Kayleigh, Kristi, and a handful of other students had an impromptu study session, and the rest is history! Kayleigh has the BIGGEST heart and keeps things fun all the time. In 2024 they travelled to the Florida Keys together and had smaller adventures Up North at Kayleigh's family cabin "tubing" on the Pine River and Cider Tasting in Traverse City in the fall. Kristi is so happy to have her by her side along the journey and on the Big Day! Love you!
Jennifer Mayer
Best Woman
Kristi's Down to Earth, Let's-Think-About-This-First friend, Jenn, perfectly balances the Bride's half of the wedding party. Jenn and Kristi have know of each other for half of their lives, meeting through the Toledo Zoo's ZOOTeen program in high school. While always friendly towards each other, they remained acquaintances and colleagues at the zoo until Jenn and Calvin graciously welcomed Kristi to enter their life and home full time in the Fall of 2019, which allowed our couple of honor to meet! Since living together, they grew to be close friends. They enjoy doing circus together, having done aerial silks, lyra, trapeze, and an aerial cube duo act in a show together! Jenn has always helped with wise words of wisdom and also has a big heart. Kristi is honored to have Jenn by her side along the journey and on the Big Day, especially as Jenn enters the next big chapter of her own life as a new mom in early 2025! Thank you and love you wifey!
Austin Burns
Best Man
Tyler's childhood friend and adventure buddy, Austin, has been an important part of Tyler's life for just about all of it! Austin has humored Tyler since his vacuum contest days in elementary school and they learned how to use video cameras and edit the videos they shot together early on. Now they don't let an hour's distance or busy schedules keep them apart, frequently catching a siren test and lunch at least once a month, if not more often! Tyler's happy to have Austin by his side on the Big Day and fill in as our videographer. Thanks, Burns!
Calvin Mayer
Best Man
Calvin is a long time friend and the Big Schemer--I mean--Dreamer friend! Tyler has known Calvin for over a decade, meeting through the Siren enthusiast community. Together they have built a boat, installed irrigation for the Black Dog Acres' big vegetable garden, and continued a New Year's tradition of ringing a Siren at midnight to welcome in the New Year! In 2019, Calvin just so happened to ask Tyler to install some extra water lines in the basement the same weekend Kristi moved in so that they could meet. Kristi was of course impressed by Tyler's handiness, especially since these were water lines for her turtle's tank! Calvin helped to stoke that spark and encouraged Tyler to ask Kristi out a couple months later and here we are today! Tyler is honored to have Calvin by his side on the Big Day. Thank you, Calvin!
