Getting to the West Coast

🚗 Driving Directions: Cape Town International Airport → Weskus (West Coast) - Exit the Airport - After collecting your luggage, exit the airport and follow signs for the N2 / Settlers Way. - Keep left and take the ramp onto the N2 towards Cape Town. - Merge onto the N2 - Stay on the N2 for a short distance (about 5 km). - Look out for signs for the M7 / Vanguard Drive. - Take the M7 North (Vanguard Drive) - Take the exit onto M7 North towards Goodwood / Malmesbury. - Continue straight for around 15–20 minutes (approx. 20 km). - Join the N1 towards Paarl - Merge onto the N1 North towards Paarl. - Stay on the N1 for about 5 km, then take the exit for the R27. - Take the R27 / West Coast Road - Follow signs to the R27 (West Coast Road) — this is your main road to the Weskus! - Turn left onto the R27 and head north. - Enjoy the Scenic Drive! From here, it’s a straight drive up the R27. You’ll pass landmarks like: - Bloubergstrand (to your left — great views of Table Mountain!) - Atlantis Dunes (popular for 4x4 and sandboarding) - West Coast National Park (if heading to Langebaan) The road is long, open, and peaceful — keep an eye out for wildlife and stunning views, especially at sunset. 🛣️ Approximate Distances from the Airport: Langebaan – 1 hr 30 min (130 km) Paternoster – 2 hrs (160 km) Velddrif – 1 hr 45 min (150 km)

Option 2 is a one-bedroom, one bathroom that can sleep 3 people (sleeper couch option). Option 3 is a one-bedroom, one bathroom and sleeps two people. R500 per person per night. Abalone Guesthouse

The Abalone Guest House is the perfect place to break away from the hustle and bustle of city life and to experience the luxuries of peace and serenity. It is situated in Jacobsbaai on the West Coast of South Africa, halfway between Saldanha and Vredenburg. It is a beautiful seaside village, sometimes referred to as the Namaqualand of the West Coast. It has a 2km coastline with rocky and sandy bays which edge against a deep-blue ocean. Abalone Guest House offers rooms on a self-catering basis. Breakfast is optional and available at an extra cost.
