Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by December 3rd, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We will, unfortunately, not be doing plus one's.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kiddos — we really do! But this time, it's grown-up time only. Treat yourself to a night off, dress up, and come party with us, no babysitting duties required!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Expect beautiful summer weather! In Jacobsbaai during February: Daytime highs are usually around 20‑21 °C, perfect for lounging outside. Nights cool down a bit to about 17 °C (low 60s °F) — bring a light layer for later in the evening. Rain is rare — February is one of the driest months, often with very few rainy days. The ocean will be refreshing: sea temperatures hover around 16‑20 °C, so while a swim might be brisk, it's very doable. Expect plenty of sunshine and clear skies, so sunglasses, sunscreen, and a "cold one" are definitely a good idea.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking at the venue.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal attire, please. Think suits or tuxes; long or midi evening dresses; or an elegant jumpsuit. The venue includes lawn areas, so opt for block heels/wedges or dressy flats. Late-summer evenings can be breezy, so bring a light layer. When in doubt, dress up—black-tie optional is welcome. Please avoid ivory/white.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is outdoors, but the reception will be inside.

Question

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

We’re having an unplugged ceremony — so we kindly ask you to put phones and cameras away during “I do’s” and be fully present with us in the moment. Don’t worry — we’ve got a fantastic photographer capturing all the magic, and we’ll share the photos with you after! Once the ceremony is over, feel free to snap, selfie, and boogie the night away 📷💃📱
