Our love story began at Cheers – our local pub, where Kristen worked behind the bar and Willem was the weekend bouncer. She was serving up drinks and smiles, he was keeping the door safe, and somewhere in the middle of it all… sparks quietly started to fly. The funny thing is, we were both a little shy, and Kristen may have known from the very first glance that Willem was “the one,” but that didn’t make starting the conversation any less nerve-wracking. And for Willem, it took a little time (and a lot of courage) before he finally asked her out. Looking back, the wait just made that first “yes” even sweeter. From those first shy smiles to late-night talks, from inside jokes to big adventures, our story has been built on laughter, love, and the simple joy of finding home in each other. Now, from bartending and bouncing to building a life together, we’re so excited to begin the next chapter of our story — and to celebrate it surrounded by all of you.
