The restaurant business in Rhode Island is a small community. Chris and Kristen have Joe Such and Aynsley Dobosz to thank for bringing them to work together at Andrew's Bistro in 2012. At first, they were friendly co-workers until one day Chris invited Kristen to her first Celtics game on February 3rd, 2013. After the trip to Boston, they returned to RI to watch the Super Bowl at Kristen's sister's home. It just so happened that Chris' San Francisco 49ers were playing in the big game that night. It's likely that Nichole and Matt Mitson were curious and then skeptical when Chris changed his Celtics jersey for a 49ers jersey that first night in Cranston. By the end of the night, it was clear Kristen and Chris were more than friendly co-workers! That night they shared their love for sports and maybe even shared their first kiss. Soon, they found themselves spending the majority of their time together. When Chris (finally) graduated from URI that May, Kristen was there by his side and that's how it has been until today and will be going forward.

Truly, these last two years everyone has made many COVID-19 related sacrifices. Kristen & Chris were devastated as Thanksgiving was approaching in 2020 and it became clear that they would not be celebrating together with family at a dinner table. Knowing how much it impacted Kristen, Chris had something up his sleeve. It started innocently enough, 'Hey, why don't we just cook our own little Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves?' Kristen knew that meant she'd be doing most of the work, but agreed. Kristen rolled her eyes each time Chris would say, 'This is going to be the most memorable Thanksgiving ever.' Sure, COVID was memorable, alright. Needless to say she was taken off guard when she turned around and saw him down on one knee. She screamed, shouted "YES," and now we're all heading to Aruba! We're so truly excited and grateful to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you.
