Calgary International Airport (YYC)

Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the closest major international airport to Revelstoke. It is a 4.5 hour drive from Revelstoke. While it is a far drive, it is an absolutely stunning journey through the Canadian Rockies and five national parks (Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, Glacier and Mt. Revelstoke). 10/10 recommend! A rental car will be needed and there are numerous major rental car companies that can be booked online. For family coming from the East Coast, we recommend coordinating with others to fill a rental car for the roundtrip to Revelstoke from Calgary.

Kelowna International Airport (YLW)

Kelowna International Airport is a small regional airport that has some international flights to the U.S (Seattle; Los Angeles). It is a 2.5 hour drive from Revelstoke through the Okanagan, which is a semi-arid desert that has many wineries and farms. Flying into Kelowna is and another good option for family visiting from the East Coast, and again we recommend looking into rental vehicles available at the airport.
