Travel

We are so excited to welcome you to Sweet Home Alabama! Since most of our guests will be traveling from out of town, we’ve planned the weekend with convenience in mind. All of the wedding festivities will take place in walkable downtown Huntsville. If you’d like to explore beyond downtown, like visiting the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, you’ll need transportation. Rideshares such as Uber and Lyft are available but limited, so we recommend considering a rental car or other arrangements for the weekend. If you have any questions about travel, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Flight

HSV

The easiest option is to fly directly into Huntsville International Airport. It’s a recently renovated, 12-gate airport that feels charmingly small and convenient, you can even park right outside of the front door to pick someone up. Our go-to airline is Delta, which offers a quick 25-minute connection through Atlanta, making it easy to get here from just about anywhere. The airport is only 15 minutes from downtown Huntsville, so it’s by far the most convenient choice. That said, you can also consider flying into Nashville or Birmingham if flight prices work out better.

Flight

BNA

Another option is Nashville International Airport (BNA), about 1 hour and 45 minutes from downtown Huntsville. BNA offers more airlines, including Southwest, and sometimes better prices—but keep in mind you will need a rental car for the drive.

Hotel

Trilogy Hotel Huntsville Autograph Collection

707 Monroe St. SW, Huntsville, AL

The Trilogy Hotel by Marriott is Huntsville’s newest luxury hotel and our top choice for guests! We’ve secured a special room block with exclusive rates so be sure to book with the following link! Located in the heart of Big Spring Park, The Trilogy features a farm-to-table fine dining restaurant on the ground floor, a rooftop bar with stunning panoramic views (including the iconic Apollo rocket and Huntsville’s rolling hills), and the largest Starbucks in Alabama. It’s also the only hotel in Huntsville with a dedicated concierge. Our wedding weekend coincides with the Panoply Arts Festival, one of Huntsville’s biggest events, so guests can enjoy live music and art just steps from their room. Because it’s such a popular weekend, we highly recommend booking your room as soon as possible!

Travel Note

Transportation

While a rental car isn’t necessary for the weekend we have planned, you may want one if you’d like to explore beyond downtown Huntsville. We’ll be sharing a guide with all the best things to do in the area, including the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Conveniently, a variety of rental car options are available directly at the Huntsville International Airport.

Travel Note

Air BNB

If you prefer a house over a hotel, there are plenty of Airbnb options in Huntsville. Just keep in mind that while many listings advertise being “close to downtown,” they may actually be a bit farther out, so be sure to double-check the location before booking. For the most convenient access to our wedding venues, look for homes in or near the Downtown district, Twickenham Historic District, or the Five Points area.
