Our Story (Or Some Of It)

History Nearly 10 Years In the Making.

Krissy grew up in Texas, Marshall grew up in California. Krissy surfed while Marshall lived in a horse stable. In 2012, they each decided to attend The University of Texas at Austin for college after they were both declined acceptance into Harvard's prestigious Hip Hop Dance Studies program. At college orientation, in a twist of fate, Krissy got paired up to room with the one person Marshall happened to know from his west coast hometown. We will keep the person's name anonymous, but let's just say their name rhymed with "Riley Byrus." The day before their first semester began, that mutual friend asked both Krissy & Marshall to join up for a quick tour around the college campus. Marshall arrived first, wondering when this so called "Krissy" would ever show up (she was running on "Jones Time"). Marshall was in his friend's room when Krissy arrived, and through the wall he heard her say hello. Marshall jokingly said, "Oh, she sounds cute." That part is real. Marshall walked out of the room and saw Krissy for the first time and was instantly smitten. He can still recall what she was wearing that day: a navy colored tank top with little sailboats on it, exercise shorts, & tennis shoes. The reason that detail stuck out was because Marshall happened to be wearing the exact same thing, only skimpier. The two immediately hit it off, getting to know each other while walking around the campus they would call home and fall for each other over the next 3 years. If only the day hadn't ended with Krissy revealing that she currently had a boyfriend... 6 months and many friendly hang outs later, Marshall finally built up the courage to ask Krissy out, with the encouragement of some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen included here. Krissy looked at Marshall and after an eternal pause, opened her mouth, and said, "Kay." Nearly a decade later, they are still saying "Kay" to each other on a daily basis in their Los Angeles apartment. We'll see how things shake out in September.
