Hannah and Dylan met on July 8, 2022, during Dylan's last weekend in State College before moving to Pittsburgh to start law school. They shared mutual friends, and had probably crossed paths many times without ever having actually met each other. That day, Dylan was heading to the shooting range with his friends and they stopped at Starbucks to grab coffee first. As fate would have it, Hannah was working that morning. Dylan was wearing his "Evgeni F*ckin' Malkin" t-shirt which Hannah, also a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan, noticed immediately. She struck up a conversation with Dylan about the Pens and the NHL draft that was happening that week. They hit it off immediately . . . or so Hannah thought. Hannah said she would be right back, but when she returned to the cafe, Dylan was gone. Unbeknownst to Hannah, Dylan was double parked in front of the store and bolted to avoid getting a parking ticket, even though he agreed they had hit it off. Luckily, the pair reunited at Champs bar that night where they played pool, talked, and laughed until closing time. They have been inseparable ever since.
