Joel and I had lunch here on October 10th 2020, which was our original wedding date. You cannot go wrong with any of their awesome salad options and if the weather is nice, we definitely recommend sitting outside. Joel is particularly fond of the French Steak Salad and the Sweet Potato Fries!
I first visited Midway Bakery on Main after swimming a 5K in Deer Creek State Park earlier this summer. The sweet rolls are absolutely phenomenal and Joel told me he loved the chocolate chip cookie I brought back for him! Try any of their cinnamon rolls and tell us they aren't to die for--we always go for the seasonal selections and recommend sharing...if you can!
For the first three years of her PhD, Madison and her friend Taylor would come here almost daily during the writing retreat they created as part of the U's fall break. This family-friendly stop has been featured in several films and also makes one heck of a latte! Forgo Starbs in favor of this local gem for all of your weekend coffee needs.
If you've never eaten a kolache before then you definitely need to stop here for breakfast or lunch (or just a snack!) at some point during your visit! Madison loves the sweet kolaches (Apricot or Raspberry are delish!) and Joel really likes the True Texan and the BBQ Pulled Pork! Beware--they sell out quickly on most days!
Joel and I have visited Heber Valley Artisan Cheese 10+ times in the past few years and love all of their seasonal options! Head over here to see the baby animals, enjoy the fall decorations, and participate in a cheese-tasting event! Madison loves the Wasatch Back Jack and we almost always have a chunk of the Snake Creek 6 Year Sharp in our refrigerator! Check it out and have a grilled cheese if you are hungry!
