July 3, 2019: Joel proposed to Madison during a romantic picnic on the highest mountain at Stonestreet Estate Vineyards in Healdsburg, CA.

December 6, 2015: The first photograph Joel and Madison took together was at the Boulder home of their friends Mason and Caitlin Wesenberg.

January 3, 2016: Joel surprised Madison with a late Christmas gift and the two of them spent their first romantic weekend away in Manitou Springs, CO.

February 14, 2016: Madison and Joel celebrated their first Valentine's Day together a few days after saying "I love you" for the first time. Documenting their weirdness was clearly a priority.

February 21, 2016: Joel introduced Madison to his family members, Oklahoma City, and most importantly, the wonder that is Braum's ice cream.

April 24, 2016: Madison took Joel to their first Rockies game as a couple. Even though Joel says he is a still a "Cardinals" fan, the couple has attended 20+ Rockies games since this first game!

June 26 - July 4 2016: Joel and Madison took their first extended/international vacation together. Destinations visited included Seattle, WA; San Juan Islands, WA; Vancouver, BC; and Portland, OR.

October 22, 2016: Madison visited Joel during a work training in Washington, D.C. To her great surprise, this would be the first of many domestic trips to visit Joel while he was away working!

October 28, 2016: Joel and Madison hosted their first Halloween party together as a couple! Their "Snail Mail" costume was a huge hit!

May 12, 2017: These nerds graduated from CU Denver! Joel completed his MS in Finance and Madison finished her MA in Communication Studies!

May 25 - June 4, 2017: Madison and Joel went on their first European vacation! They ate their way through France, Belgium, and the Netherlands before coming home obsessed with international travel!

August 11, 2017: The Denver Duo moves to Salt Lake City, Utah and become apartment dwellers for the first time!

September 30, 2017: The couple attended the 4th West Oktoberfest where they proceeded to meet the majority of their current SLC friend group and discover a favorite local drinking spot!

October 8, 2017: This picture features the couple in one of their favorite hiking spots, the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest!

February 23, 2017: First Thanksgiving where Madison and Joel are responsible for cooking the turkey! After days of basting, the couple is pleased to report the bird turned out incredible!

March 9, 2018: Thanks to their "couple friends" Dan and Alley, Joel and Madison were finally able to go snowshoeing for the first time!

May 11, 2018: Although the couple has visited several national parks together since their first date, their favorite spot by far is Grand Teton National Park in Jackson Hole, WY.

September 8, 2018: If they aren't in Utah or Colorado you will probably find Joel and Madison adventuring around their third home, New York, NY!

September 30, 2018: Joel's patience knows no bounds, especially when it comes to making time for Madison to explore farmer's markets, artisanal gift shops, and other miscellaneous shopping haunts.

December 8, 2018: Are you surprised this is the first photograph of the couple skiing? They are surprised it took this long too, especially because most weekends you can find them on the mountain!

December 31, 2018: Joel and Madison took a break from skiing to go ice skating during their holiday visit to Lake Louise in Calgary, AB!

April 6, 2019: 2019 was the year the two became really good at spring skiing. Madison skied 10+ times and Joel skied 20+ times before the last weekend of the season which is when they took this photo!

May 25, 2019: During one of the most memorable weekend of their lives, Madison and Joel went on a biking wine tour in beautiful Napa Valley, CA!

September 21, 2019: Joel and Madison finally took a break from wedding planning to hike up to the famous Timpanogos Cave!

October 12, 2019: These hiking kids finally, finally made their way down south so they could spend a long weekend exploring Capitol Reef National Park!

November 28, 2019: Despite being the middle of her comprehensive exams, Joel and Madison traveled home to Colorado to celebrate Thanksgiving with her family!

December 25, 2019: Joel and Madison finally spent Christmas morning together this past year! They woke up Christmas morning to a balmy 67 degrees in Oklahoma City!

January 1, 2020: Ringing in the new year and the new decade in their wonderful townhome in Salt Lake City!

January 11, 2020: Madison loves everything that has anything to do with water and Joel loves animals so visiting the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium was the perfect choice for a day date!

January 31, 2020: Joel fulfilled his lifelong dream of skiing Jackson Hole, WY! Madison, of course, was thrilled to be along for the adventure to witness Joel in all of his excitement!

February 1, 2020: The couple went on a long drive with their friend Peter looking for a moose! Upon finding one, Madison of course needed to take a selfie to document the experience!

February 16, 2020: Madison visited Joel in New York and they joined their good friend and usher, Teddy, at the Bronx Botanical Garden with his partner to see Jeff Leatham's Kaleidoscope Orchid Show!

February 29, 2020: Madison returned to New York to visit Joel for his 30th birthday and they walked around the different neighborhoods while Madison took photos in front of cool murals like this one!

March 15, 2020: During their first weekend of COVID-19 self-isolation, Madison and Joel went outside for a bit with Madison's parents to explore Antelope Island State Park!

April 12, 2020: Madison and Joel socially-distance with their friends Nick and Sid in order to celebrate the Easter holiday with loved ones!

April 28th, 2020: Thanks to COVID-19, Joel finally gives in and decides the two of them are ready to adopt their first pet! This image was taken outside of the BFAS right before they met Hotdog!

April 29th, 2020: Hotdog Cranmer-Krall spends his first official day as a member of the Cranmer-Krall family! Madison and Joel are absolutely smitten with their new little family member!

May 23rd, 2020: After weeks spent inside, Madison and Joel decided to take a short trip to the GSL Spiral Jetty, the Golden Spike National Historical Park, & the Northrop Grumman Rocket Garden!

June 2nd, 2020: Madison, Joel, and Hotdog take their first quality family photo! Christmas-card quality, don't you think?

June 6th, 2020: Since Salt Lake City is within 4 hours of 4 national parks, Joel and Madison were able to visit the Arches and Canyonlands National Parks during the pandemic.

June 28th, 2020: Camping during COVID-19 is trending, so Joel and Madison visited Bear Lake and camped together in Utah for the first time!
