We consider our dress code to be semi-formal or formal optional. By definition, this means you can go slightly less formal than black tie and wear something dressier than you might normally or pick clothing that falls somewhere between formal and casual, depending on the weather the day of our wedding. Women: You are welcome to wear a floor-length gown, a knee-length cocktail dress with heels, or a dressy suit. Men: Think blazers with matching trousers, two-piece suits, pocket squares, and dressier shoes!
We've spent a long time considering the level of risk surrounding our wedding, which is why we postponed the original celebration! That being said, any 100-person event comes with some risk, so we ask that everyone follow CDC guidelines when considering their safety and that of others during our celebration. This looks like the following: 1. Per Utah’s health department guidelines, for our wedding events, any guests who are unable to be vaccinated should plan to wear a mask while indoors. And, while vaccinated guests are not required to wear masks, we completely understand and respect those who may wish to wear a mask on our wedding day. 2. Our wedding ceremony/cocktail hour will be held outdoors, but dinner and other traditional wedding events (dancing etc.) will take place indoors. The venue has large barn doors to help with indoor ventilation. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above, please let us know, and we look forward to celebrating with you soon!
Our venue, River Bottoms Ranch, has a private parking lot with plenty of space for those of you who choose to drive.
We would be extremely grateful if you could send your RSVP before September 15th so we can communicate with our vendors. We understand some people still have reservations about traveling and that many of you are coming from far away, but we are hopeful you can make it to Utah to celebrate with us!
If your invitation says "and Guest" then yes, you are welcome to bring a date. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love your kids--we really do! Alas, our wedding venue does not really accommodate children, so we want our wedding to be your night off! We have contact information for a couple of local babysitters to make that a reality.
