Ethan Sanders

Best Man

Ethan has been by my side for as long as I can remember, which is why he’s one of my co–best men. We’ve been friends since we were five, growing up as next‑door neighbors who spent our earliest days scootering around and heading off to kindergarten together. Over the years, we’ve shared just about every phase of life, learning to skateboard and practically living at the skatepark, going to school together, and playing lacrosse on the same teams. From late‑night parties to countless memories that shaped who we are, Ethan has always been the kind of friend who’d do anything for me. He’s been loved like a brother from day one, and I couldn’t imagine this day without him standing next to me.

Abbi Gibson

Maid of Honor

Cousin by blood, sister by choice! If you want to know what growing up with Abbi was like, just imagine two girls charging admission for a living room talent show and forcing their brothers into dance costumes. We grew up more like sisters, and from those childhood "shows" to our more recent performances of "Defying Gravity" in the stairwell, there is never a dull moment when we are together. Abbi is the person I know I can always count on for anything. She’s been my biggest supporter since day one, including being "Team Jack" before he was even in the picture. She’s the one who knew I had a crush on him way back in 2009, and she’s been cheering us on ever since. Abbi truly lights up every room she enters. She has been there for every milestone since we were kids, from "spotlight dance competitions" and graduations to the day I found my wedding dress and, soon, the moment I finally say "I do." I feel so incredibly blessed to have her by my side, and I can’t wait to keep dancing through life with her!

Jake Norcross

Best Man

Jake, my other co–best man, has been a part of my life for just as long—we’ve been friends since we were five years old and practically grew up as a package deal. From kindergarten through senior year, we went to school together and spent nearly every day at each other’s houses, doing everything two inseparable kids could dream up. We played GameCube until our thumbs hurt and we were there the day online multiplayer changed everything- discovering Call of Duty together like it was a whole new world. We played sports side by side, shared countless nights of eating, drinking, and laughing, and even rocked the same haircut because we were that close. Jake has always been someone I’d trust with anything, someone I love like a brother, and I’m honored to have him standing next to me on one of the biggest days of my life.

Samantha Cohen

Bridesmaid

Sammi and I met through work, where I was initially her boss. While I was busy maintaining professional boundaries, Sammi was busy making a promise: that one day, we would be best friends. As it turns out, she was exactly right! I have never bonded with someone so quickly in my adult life. Sammi is the "black cat" to my "golden retriever"—we are opposites in so many ways, but we even each other out perfectly. Beyond the laughter and her "tell it like it is" honesty, she has been a true guiding light for both Jack and me. She has a way of navigating the harder parts of life with such wisdom, providing input and support that no one else can. She is a rare, deep friend, and I can’t imagine saying "I do" without her by our sides.

Chad Pecchenino

Groomsman

Chad has been a close friend since high school, and he’s always been the guy you could count on for a good time while somehow still making sure everyone else was taken care of first. He’s an incredible cook who’s fed all of us more times than we can count, a beer die champion who always found a way to clutch a win, and someone whose love for his friends and family is genuinely inspiring. On the mountain, he’s one hell of a snowboarder, carving lines down any run with me, keeping the vibes immaculate, and always checking that I was good before dropping in. Chad is the life and heart of the party, the kind of friend who brings energy, warmth, and laughter everywhere he goes, and I’m absolutely stoked to have him standing with me on this day.

Jessica Flatau

Bridesmaid

Jessica (Shaffer) and I first met back in elementary school, but for years, we were mostly familiar faces on the local dance circuit, often crossing paths at competitions. It wasn’t until the spring of 2013 at the SDSU dance team auditions that our paths officially converged—and from that moment on, the band was back together! We went from college teammates and senior-year roommates to navigating all of life’s biggest milestones. I had the joy of standing by her side at her wedding, and it has been so special seeing her become such an incredible mom. We have been through so much together over the years, and I am honored to have her by my side for my big day, just as I was for hers.

Troy Zarubin

Groomsman

Troy and I have been friends since high school, first introduced through Ethan, and from the very beginning he was always one of the most fun people to be around. We spent countless nights partying back then, but our friendship really solidified through video games, even while he was living in LA. Forming our Rocket League team together changed everything. We competed against each other, teamed up, and grinded our way up the leaderboards until we reached the highest rank. This brought us closer than ever. Beyond gaming, what stands out most about Troy is his compassionate nature. He constantly puts others before himself and truly lives by the idea of treating people the way you want to be treated. We still talk every day, play together constantly, and hang out in person whenever we can. He’s someone who’s always shown genuine respect and care, not just to me but also to Katie, and I’m so lucky to have him as a groomsman and a best friend.

Leah Johnson

Bridesmaid

Leah and I met in dance class as kids, but we became truly inseparable during the absolute most awkward years of middle school. I am so grateful I had her by my side during the times when making friends felt hard; she was my "ride or die" then and has been ever since. Even as I went off to college a year ahead of her, Leah remained a constant presence, always cheering me on at my games and performances. Today, we still make it a priority to meet up for our weekly Pilates and coffee dates. Whether we have two hours or just ten minutes to catch up in our busy lives, I truly cherish that time together. Leah is an incredibly hard worker and is never judgmental—the kind of friend whose support never wavers. We quite literally grew up together, and I feel so lucky to have her alongside me as I start this next chapter!

Dane Brody-Chanove

Groomsman

Dane and I go all the way back to kindergarten, and he’s been one of those rare, one‑of‑a‑kind friends ever since. We grew up playing recreational soccer together on the legendary “Riptide” team and later became part of the “Lightning” soccer organization, where our families grew close through countless games, dinners, and nights where all us kids got to run around and have fun. As a triplet, he came as a package deal, and the four of us spent endless hours hanging out, playing Nintendo DS, going to the beach, having playdates, and swimming until we were exhausted. Dane has always been a great mutual friend to both Katie and me; in fact, it was at his house just before starting high school in 2009 that the two of us met for the first time. Through every stage of childhood, Dane was the kind of friend who made everything better. I’ve always admired him, his discipline, his curiosity, and the way he approaches life with genuine thoughtfulness. His annual Halloween and Christmas parties have become traditions that bring all of us together no matter what, and they’re just another example of how much heart he brings into the world. I’m grateful to have grown up alongside him and honored to have him standing with me on this day.

Kelsey Wells

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and I met at the SDSU dance team auditions in 2013 and felt an instant connection. We are both "koalas"—meaning we share so many similarities and always just want everyone to be happy and getting along! Along with Jess, we were the only three girls in our class to go through the entire program from freshman year to graduation, and that shared journey bonded us for life. Since college, we’ve kept our friendship strong even while living in different parts of the state. Whether we are traveling to Florida to cheer on our SDSU dance alumni or finding any excuse to meet up when one of us is in town, it always feels like no time has passed. We pick up right where we left off every single time. I had the honor of standing by Kelsey’s side at her wedding, and I couldn't imagine our special day without her by mine!

Tucker Park

Groomsman

Tucker, Katie’s brother, has been one of my biggest supporters from the very beginning, and getting to grow closer with him over the years has been something I’m truly grateful for. Since we grew up in the same town and knew each other through Katie, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow into the amazing man he is today, someone who cares deeply for his friends and family and is an incredible brother to my fiancée. Our trips together to Belize, Michigan, and Florida brought us even closer, solidifying a bond built on shared experiences, laughs, and countless memories. Tucker is both the life of the party and the person who makes sure everyone is taken care of, a rare combination that speaks to his character. His DJ skills are unmatched, and with every event he hosts around the city, his talent only continues to grow. Getting to know him better through holidays and family dinners with Katie has been truly special, and I’m so glad he's my groomsman.

Millie Beetham

Bridesmaid

Millie is Jack’s sister, and I am so excited to officially call her my sister, too! It was so important to me to have her in our wedding party as we bring our families together. Millie is one of the most caring people I know; she truly wears her heart on her sleeve and makes everyone around her feel seen. We’ve shared some incredible memories already, from ski trips to our family adventure in Croatia. As fellow eldest siblings, we realized early on that we share a lot of the same personality traits, which is probably why we get along so well! I feel so lucky to be joining her family, and I am honored to have her by my side as we officially become sisters.

John Gibson

Officiant

We are beyond blessed to have Katie's Uncle John officiating our wedding. He has been one of the most steady and joyful influences in Katie's life — turning every family gathering and vacation into memories filled with laughter, games, and his unforgettable storytelling. He has always loved and supported Katie wholeheartedly, challenging her to grow while making life so much fun along the way. Uncle John has had a front row seat to Katie and Jack's blossoming relationship from day one, and has welcomed Jack with the same warmth and humor he’s always shown to Katie. It means the world to both of them that he will be standing alongside them as they begin this next chapter together, rooted in faith and love.
