Feel free to arrive in town as early as you would like to get the most out of this Vegas wedding experience. The official weekend is Friday 9/25 to Monday 9/28 but you can come earlier or stay later. The Bride & Groom will be in town on Thursday September 24th and departing on Monday September 28th. The MGM #YourePearsonMyHeart wedding deal has allowed for us to have guests arrive earlier than 9/25 and stay later than 9/28 if they so choose, so take advantage!
We will have a chartered service bring guests from the host hotel at the MGM Grand to the wedding venue at Rainbow Gardens. The charter will leave the MGM at 5pm sharp on Sunday September 27th. The pickup location at MGM and return time back to the hotel are TBD.
We will have an open bar at the wedding. Please bring some cash to tip your bar tenders.
The average temperature for the month of September is 86 F. By the end of September, the average high temperature is about 80 F, and the evening lows drop dramatically to 65 F as desert locations tend to do which ushers in the fall season. Being a desert locale, Las Vegas humidity remains low most of the year with September no exception. Rain is possible, but the likelihood of you experiencing rain hovers at about a 10 percent chance.
The best way to pack for Las Vegas in September is to bring clothing for summertime during the day and for the evenings, think fall-like temperatures. Our wedding ceremony will be taking place at an outdoor location with an indoor reception so pack a dressy cocktail outfit to fit your comfort levels. For your time spent in Vegas outside of the wedding, summer attire like t-shirts, shorts, sundresses, and sandals are appropriate. The evenings can drop into the 60s, so if you get cold easily, bring a sweater or light jacket if you plan a nightly stroll along the Vegas Strip. You also might want to bring some long pants, closed-toe shoes, or sneakers if you plan on sightseeing or going for long walks or hikes.
If you’ve never been to Vegas, then you probably assume it’s a breeze to walk from one end of the Strip to the other. Well, while you could probably make the trek, we wouldn’t recommend it. Unless, of course, you’re willing to invest a whole day and some blistered toes, then go ahead. But for everyone else out there, we’ve put together a list of all your transportation options throughout the city and our recommendations for when to use these options. https://www.visitlasvegas.com/experience/post/getting-around-vegas/
