We’re getting married!

Taylor and Kourtney met at Kourtney's best friend Kristin's wedding. Taylor was not originally invited to the wedding, but as Kristin's brother-in-law's brother (I know, stick with us here), he was around the days leading up to Kristin and John's nuptials as additional help with set-up. As a courteous thank you from the Duquette family, Taylor was a last minute add. Leslie, Kristin's mom eagerly mentioned that Taylor was a cutie who will now be at the wedding. Though Kristin quickly dampened her excitement assuring Leslie that Taylor, "was so not Kourt's type." However, love really was in the air that night, once at Kristin's wedding Kourtney saw Taylor and knew she wanted him to talk to her. No way was Kourtney going to come make the first introduction. But sure enough by the end of the evening they had already hit it off. It was different from the start between Kourtney and Taylor, who quickly became inseparable since meeting that fateful wedding evening. Some three and a half years later, roommates, Finley Girl, new jobs, their cute little duplex, and FINALLY the engagement in Carmel on December 7, 2018. Kourtney and Taylor are excited to get married on Catalina Island, a place that is special not only to the Burrows family, but now to Kourtney and Taylor, as well.

Taylor was dying to get away on a small weekend trip and had planned a long weekend in Carmel Valley for Kourtney, their dog Fin and himself. The first day was perfect - romantic and mellow - wine tasting at a few spots, visiting the small Carmel Valley bar and ordering a pizza to go back and enjoy at the cottage. Taylor was cool as a cucumber until the pizza shop didn't open on time. Unbeknownst to Kourtney, Taylor wanted to get back to the house in time to take in the sunset on the deck overlooking the gorgeous Santa Lucia mountains. While Kourtney was blissfully unaware of his panic to get back in time, she was enjoying chatting with locals, drinking a moscow mule, casually passing the time. To Taylor's dismay they arrived back to the house long after dark, but he didn't let that stop the proposal. Taylor took Kourtney out to the sweet patio area, got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. It didn't matter that there was no sight of mountains because for that moment everything in the world went away. OF COURSE she said yes through shock and the happiest tears.
