RSVP by: 02/01/2023. RSVP online using the RSVP tab on this website. We will not be sending out physical RSVP cards with our invitations, so RSVPing on this Zola website is the only way to RSVP. Reach out to us if you need help with this!
Attire: Beach Formal - Think "upscale beach restaurant". Men: A light-colored suit; sport coat or blazer with linen pants or khakis. Loafers or deck shoes are acceptable footwear options. Ties/bow-ties are optional. No short-sleeve shirts or shorts. Women: A formal spring/summer dress, romper, jumpsuit or suit (knee- to full-length). Dressy sandals, flats, or chunky heels/wedges are acceptable footwear options. *Please no flip-flops, sneakers/tennis shoes or jeans. We want y'all to be comfortable, but still look dressed for the occasion!
We prefer plus-ones/dates to be reserved for spouses or long-term partners only, which will be indicated on your invitation. If we have made a mistake with your invitation, or if you have any concerns about this (i.e. we left out your partner by accident), please reach out and let us know, so we can add your plus-one to our guest list!
Although we love your kids, we think you deserve an adults-only day-off! So adults-only, please and thank you!
We ask that guests start arriving at 10:30 a.m. to give yourself time to find seating, get acquainted with the venue, etc. *The bar will be open starting at 10:30 a.m., so you can grab yourself a mimosa (or other drink) before the ceremony starts! The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. Reception will end at 4:00pm.
No, but there are lots of hotels and Vrbo/AirBnb rentals that are within walking distance of the wedding venue, so we are hoping that most guests will be able to walk to the wedding venue. Uber is an option if you are staying further away. Parking is limited (see below FAQ).
Option #1: There is a free shopping center parking lot across from the Casa Marina (the venue) - Casa Marina guests are allowed to park there, so towing/ticketing is not a concern in that parking lot. Option #2: the public Jax beach Pier parking lot next to the venue (costs $3 for the first two hours and $1 per hour for each additional hour, with a maximum of 6 hours for $7). *Please note, the venue is in a very popular area of Jax beach, so parking is limited. If possible, we recommend taking an Uber or walking from your hotel/Airbnb. Otherwise, please arrive early & give yourself plenty of time to find parking.
The entire menu will be gluten-free since Melissa has celiac disease (a severe gluten intolerance). We have noted that several of our guests have a dairy allergy/intolerance, so there will be plenty of dairy-free options & foods will appropriately be labeled "dairy-free".
If you want alcohol - bring your ID just in case! The bartenders have a legal right to request to see your ID prior to serving you alcohol in the state of Florida.
We ask that you silence & put away your phones & cameras during our ceremony - We are having an "unplugged ceremony". However, you can take as many photos as you want during the reception & post whatever you like on social media after the ceremony!
The wedding reception will end at 4:00pm. Our flexible/unofficial plan is to walk around to a few bars/restaurants once the reception is over - people can join & leave as they please (we have no reservations; this will be very casual!). Everyone can order their own drinks & food as they want :) 1st stop: Landshark Bar & Grill. 2nd stop: Flask & Cannon (V's Pizza). 3rd stop: Lynch's Irish Pub. 4th stop: Hoptinger Bier Garden. 5th stop: The Wine Bar. *this isn't a set order, just a general idea!
