As you know, we eloped on August 5, 2024. It was unexpected but our hearts are so satisfied with the decision we made. The story?
Well, we always envisioned our pups getting to be a part of our wedding day, but with both of them being seniors and wedding planning taking a back burner, the clock was ticking. Smash crossed over the rainbow bridge in May of 2024 and Tuni's health was quickly declining as well. Eloping was never apart of the plan but we decided it was the best way to make sure that at least one of our sweet boys got to be apart of our ceremony binding us together as a family.
With two days notice, we found a beautiful location in the Colorado Rockies and called Mckenna's sister to fly in. It was a drizzly Monday when we drove up to a painting-worthy overlook to tie the knot. It was overall slightly chaotic and incredibly special--sounds about right. The day was wrapped up with a vibrant double rainbow on the way home, a little sign of approval from Smash. Just perfect.
