Please check that your passports are up-to-date as soon as possible as there are extreme back-ups within the passport offices (both in Aus and US! 😩)! You should have at least six months before your passport expires at the time of travel.

Do I need a visa to enter the Bahamas?

Answer

Neither U.S. nor Australian citizens need a tourist visa when entering the Bahamas for less than 90 days.

While we absolutely love kids, we really want you to enjoy yourself and take a much needed break! Please leave the little ones at home.

What should I pack?

Answer

The Bahamas are very tropical and warm year round. Expect average temperatures of 85°F/29°C. The sun can get hot so bring sun protective clothing but please pack light! All you really need are bathing suits, sandals, and sunglasses.. sorry in Aussie slang: bathers, thongs, and sunnies! 😂 For our wedding, please pack resort wear. Otherwise, we want you to enjoy yourself and wear whatever you are comfortable in!

What the heck is "Resort Wear"?

Resort wear is often referred to as easy to pack, lightweight, and comfortable clothes to wear while vacationing in the tropics. We are going to be both on the beach and indoors for dinner. For ladies: Midi and maxi dresses, sundresses, linen sets, anything you are going to be comfortable in outside. I would recommend flat sandals or shoes you don't mind taking off. The bride will DEFINITELY be barefoot 😍 For guys: Linen trousers, slacks, khakis, and button downs. You don't have to wear a suit but please no shorts or jeans.

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Short answer is no. I chose this resort because it is an intimate, small resort that I hope will give us all a great place to spend our time together. There is a full restaurant and bar on the property. There is also the option of purchasing a meal plan with the resort. Breakfast and dinner $67 USD per day Breakfast, lunch and dinner $83 USD per day You can ask the resort staff about the meal plan when calling to book your room.

What's the easiest way to get to Long Island?

Answer

Fly into Nassau and then get a connecting flight on a charter or another scheduled flight. Booking a charter is usually a smaller plane and costs more, but has more flexibility. (You can book a charter by calling the resort.) The scheduled flights are "commuter" flights that go from island to island at set times on certain days not allowing much flexibility. (You would book scheduled flights the same way you would any other flight, or directly through Bahamas Air or Southern Air websites.) The scheduled flights are usually larger planes, as well, in case you have a fear of flying in smaller aircrafts. What's the difference between the beach cottages and villas?

Answer

The 1 bedroom/ 1 bath and 2 bedroom/ 1 bath beach cottages are more like traditional hotel rooms. They have a large main bedroom, bath room, and screened-in patio. There is a small mini fridge in the room but no kitchen/kitchenette. The main bedroom is a king. The two bedroom cottage has another smaller room with two single beds. The 1 bedroom cottages are $239 USD/ night. The villas are full apartment suites. They are only available in 2 bedroom/ 2 bath and have a full kitchen, dining room, living room, and either a screened-in patio or balcony. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has two queens meaning the villas do sleep six guests! They are $555 USD/night! All rooms are beachfront! 😍

How soon do I need to book accommodations?

Answer

Please book your rooms by calling the resort and mentioning our name. You must book at least 60 days before the wedding to use our room block.

What is there to do in Long Island?

Answer

You are going to be blown away by the natural beauty of these islands! 😍 Our resort sits on one of the most beautiful beaches in the WORLD! So, you could easily spend the entire time just hanging out right there at the resort with cocktail in hand. If you want to get out and explore, check out the "Things To Do" page of our website to find some ideas. The resort can help you book tours, organize taxis, and all sorts of other fun things! Snorkeling, boating, scuba diving, shopping, caves, a HUGE blue hole.. so much to do and see!

While we do have a limited number of people the resort can cater to, please let us know if you would like to bring someone and we will see if we have room!
