Michelle is my 'big' sister, who I've always looked up to. She is a great mother, wife, daughter and sister and will do anything for family. She always listens when I need to talk and is there to provide sound advice. I remember that I was in 6th grade when I became cool enough for my sister to talk to. She allowed me to sit on her bed, and she talked to me as a friend for the first time. I remember thinking that I must be pretty cool now. After that day, my sister became more than someone who enjoyed laughing at me, but my friend for life. A few things to know about Michelle: 1. She can argue her point and make you question your position even if she is wrong! 2. She is creative. 3. She is not quiet...give her time! 4. Last, but not least, she is loyal and loving!

Ebony and I go way back to Dry Creek Junior High School in Roseville, CA. I'm glad to say that a lot has changed since then AND that we've remained friends over the years! We spent our free time hanging out in our neighborhood, or going to the mall to check out boys. We would pass notes to each other in between class periods, and she was the one I told everything to. I can't say that she provided sound advice in back then, but I'm glad to know wisdom has kicked in now. We BOTH did some stupid things trying to be cool and thank God, times have changed! Ebony is funny, and passionate about things that she holds close to her heart. She made me the godmom of her beautiful daughter Amari, and I'm proud to see how much she loves her and sacrifices for her. I am so glad that we've stayed close!

Kadrian, also known as Kate, has been my friend since 11th grade. We were both new at our school, and we both ate lunch alone. Kate got tired of eating alone, and came and introduced herself to me and we've been friends ever since! Kate is my practical friend, meaning, she has always been level headed and thought things out to the end. However, she did abandon me and left me in dangerous situation once. Kate eventually came back and I wasn't harmed, thank God! She got a good laugh at my expense and this is probably the only time I couldn't count on her, lol! Kate is extremely intelligent, compassionate and such a great mom! What I admire most about Kate is her ability to not get swayed by others. She doesn't care what others think, and will stay the course until it's completed.

D-Ray and I have been friends since 11th grade. We both went to FSU and got to experience college life together. We both had a lot of fun partying and God's grace definitely kept us both during this time! Desiree and I have been friends so long, that we can anticipate what the other is going to say or think in certain situations. We know what each other thinks about shopping and car etiquette (inside joke). All jokes aside, D-Ray is super smart, has a heart of gold, and is an amazing mother. She is working on her Master's degree, while working full time and taking care of her daughter. It makes me proud to see the woman that she's become and proud to be her friend!
Erica Brown

Erica and I have known each other for years, but became really good friends about 7 years ago. Erica is such a sweetheart! She has wanted me to get married for years. I think she was more worried about it than I was! I knew my husband was coming at some point, but that point wasn't quick enough for Erica, lol! As you can imagine, she is beyond thrilled about the wedding. I'm so glad that she is a part of Danell and I's wedding! Erica likes to make sure that everyone feels special and will go the extra mile for anyone. Also, she is a full of energy, positive, and incredibly talented. I've seen Erica go through a lot over the years, and I admire her ability to keep moving towards the mark. She is a magnificent wife, mother, entrepreneur (wedding planner) and dear friend.

I've known Geneva since our days at SouthTrust Bank in East Atlanta. Geneva used to be quiet. She'd be at work and the only time she would talk is when she left teller line. Over time things began to change and she began speaking her mind. Time to time, I'd try to get her to party with me and most of the time she'd say no. However, one of the times I persuaded her to go out, she ended up meeting her husband. As she desperately held on to the drink in her hand and ignored the smiles of her future husband, I encouraged her to make eye contact. Geneva and her husband have been going strong ever since! Geneva is one who really listens when someone speaks and is able to discern the heart of whatever is being said. She is one who encourages and I'm so blessed to see the woman you've become!

Lisa and I also met at SouthTrust Bank in Atlanta and we instantly hit it off! She is from Atlanta and she was the one who helped me learn my way around. She introduced me to her friends and family and made me feel like family. She was also the firecracker of the office and always had everyone laughing. Everyone knew what was on her mind. I remember fearing for my life riding with her because of her road rage. She'd want to make sure the person that cut her off knew how she felt about it! Lisa now is a changed woman, and has toned it down. She has always been funny, creative, loyal, and has always had my back. It doesn't matter how often we talk, but when we do it's like no time has passed. I've been blessed to see her grow over the years and I'm so glad that we've remained good friends!
Moses Brown

I chose Moses to be my best man, not only because he's like a brother to me, but also because he is truly my best friend. We met 12 years ago at Voorhees College and our bond has been unbreakable ever since. I have watched Moses over the years become a husband, father, and leader of his community, in which, he has been a police officer for 8 years. Moses is the funniest person I have ever met, and his country accent and loud voice is a trademark for all those who know him. I'm very blessed to call him my friend and brother!
David Brown

David and I are fraternal twins that are two minutes apart. He is very funny, outgoing, and works extremely hard and has worked in the restaurant business for over ten years. Additionally, he is a devoted husband, loving father, and supportive brother. David and I have learned a lot of life lessons together which has molded us into the men we are today.
Antwan Goodwine

Antwan is my little brother from North Charleston, SC. He is one of the most loyal and laid back people you will ever come across. Also, he is a loving father to my nephew Antwan Jr, aka Junebug. An interesting fact about Antwan is that he is a very skilled pool player. He is not shy when talking about his skills as a pool player, lol. The thing that I love most about Antwan is that he's very wise beyond his years!
Chris Wright

Chris is my baby brother from Greenville, SC. Every time I see Chris I'm reminded of how old I'm getting. When I was 16 years old I moved to Greenville to live with my father and I can remember how excited Chris was to have me living there. I can recall our first conversation. As I was unpacking my things Chris basically laid the ground rules down as we had to share a bedroom together. One of his many rules was no snoring. I thought to myself, who is he to give me all of these rules, so I contemplated putting him in a headlock and body slamming him on the bed, lol. Chris was a standout athlete at JL Mann High School, where he excelled at football & track. Chris is a loving father to my nephew Carter, aka ladies man. I'm so proud to have Chris as one of my brothers.

Jarrar and I have been friends for 15 years. We first met at Ingles Grocery Store where we both worked and we instantly became friends. We both rooted for the Dallas Cowboys and loved listening to Young Jeezy. Jarrar is stand up guy who will give you his last and has always been a man of his word and that is why we have been friends for many years.

Devono and I met 12 years ago at Voorhees College, in which we both lived in Gurrey-Finley dorm. We both are very similar in a lot of ways, such as, we both are from North Charleston, we both love the Dallas Cowboys, and we both think we are always right when it comes to sports topics. Devono has lived in Atlanta for 9 years where he's excelling in his career as a physical therapist. He is working to open his own practice and I have no doubt that his practice will open and be successful.

Will and I met 7 years ago as we both worked for Old Time Pottery. We both share a lot of the same interests such as sports, hip-hop, and debating whatever is going on in today's world. I can go to Will about anything and I know that he will give me his honest opinion. He has always had my back, whether I was right or wrong, and for that, I love him like a brother.
