11:30 am - 5:00 pm
Dress code: garden Attire/Indian daytime. Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits, or Indian clothing with yellow, orange, or green hues.
Hosted by: Rakesh and Alka Agarwal This event will take place at Komal's parents' house in Sugar Land, TX a few days before the wedding. Given the distance from this location and the wedding venue and the time difference between events, it is completely optional to attend, but highly encouraged! Join us for an afternoon filled with color, music, and celebration as we kick off the wedding festivities! We'll begin with the Haldi ceremony, where loved ones apply turmeric to bless the couple with luck, love, and glowing skin. Then, get ready for the Sangeet—an evening of lively music, dancing, and joyful performances. Henna artists will be applying henna for any guests who are interested in getting (temporarily) tatted up! Lunch, beverages, and snacks will be provided—come ready to celebrate and eat!
3:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Indian formal/Western formal: Formal Indian clothes are highly encouraged! Otherwise, tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. Out of consideration to the bride, avoid wearing the color red.
We will start with a Hindu wedding ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour and reception/dinner.
