Count down to our Wedding Festivities...

Our wedding will be 13 years on the dot from the day we first met (and exactly 10 years since we became official!). Both of us attended rival high schools in Katy, Texas, but we didn't actually meet one another until a fateful day once we were already in university. As luck would have it, we were both in town during our winter breaks in college. Our friend (hi, Blake!) was having some people over for New Years' Eve. Blake invited our friend (hi, Akhila!), who invited Komal to join her. Komal knew Jack knew Komal was the one since the moment she walked through the door. It took her three years to agree with him. Komal, by then a Senior in college, was sitting on the couch with her bestie (hi, Ashley!), lamenting about how all the boys at Rice were strange, and how she'd never find anyone who matched her vibe. It felt like all hope was lost, when suddenly Ashley glanced at Komal, who was midway drafting a text - "What about Jack?". Komal was in that moment texting Jack, like always. Ashley was right! Komal and Jack started dating in January of her senior year, and Jack gladly spent the rest of the Spring commuting to Rice on Fridays. After graduating, Komal started her first job in Austin, and the two of us have been inseparable ever since.
