Komal and John met in August 2010 in Sullivan Residence Hall on the Campus of North Carolina State University. John arrived bright and early on the first day he was able to move into his dorm to start his life in college and was met by his new Resident Advisor - Komal. John and Komal grew close over that year and rooted their relationship in a strong foundation of friendship that grew over the years. After Komal graduated from NC State, she moved back to Maryland while John stayed in North Carolina, but they kept in touch and visited each other on multiple occasions. As the years went by and milestones were accomplished individually, John and Komal's friendship grew stronger. As fate would have it, John landed in Philadelphia making the distance a short 2 hour drive to Komal in Baltimore (nearly 10 years later after initially meeting). Given the short distance and strong friendship, they grew closer and were soon visiting each other nearly every weekend. Soon enough, John and Komal started to share their love by visiting each others families and eventually John decided to move to Baltimore to be closer to Komal. From there on, John and Komal have created core memories in Baltimore (with Sherru!) and can't wait to have everyone they love visit 'Charm City' in July!
