Flight
For our Minnesota family, Delta has direct flights from Minneapolis (MSP) to Dallas (DFW). If you are in Brainerd (BRD) has 2 flights a day during the week and 1 on the weekends to Minneapolis (MSP). Make sure you say hello to the BRD airport family from me! American Airlines also has direct flights from Minneapolis (MSP) to Dallas (DFW). Southwest has direct flights from Minneapolis (MSP) to Dallas Love-Field (DAL). DAL is a little farther east but would only add about 20 extra minutes to your drive to the hotel. The only advise I have is to just google search "Flights from Minneapolis to Dallas and find the best price. There are usually questions about our advise since we both work for the airlines but there is no magic code that we have or knowledge on when to book to get the best prices. But if we did, you would be the ones we would give it to.

For our Georgia family Spirit has direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Dallas (DFW). Delta has direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Dallas Love-Field (DAL). American has direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Dallas (DFW). Southwest has direct flights from Atlanta (ATL) to Dallas Love-Field (DAL). Hotel
This hotel is about a 20 minute drive from the wedding/reception venue. Must book by 9/11/2021 to receive the group rate. If you end up needing to cancel you must do so 48 hours before check in date to receive full refund; less than that and they will charge 1 nights stay + tax. We blocked the rooms for 10/02/2021-10/04/2021 just in case you would like to come a day prior to the wedding (check in at 3pm) and leave the morning after the wedding. Rental Car
Car rentals are pretty expensive right now so if you are flying in, Turo is an app for renting other people's cars (like Airbnb). I found some that you can pick up from the airport and it costs about the same as what car rentals used to cost. If you still would rather rent a car I would book as early as possible to get a better deal. I found a few companies for about $50/day. However, I would guess that the price will keep increasing the closer we get to the wedding date.
