About Us

How we met

When I started working at my small hometown airport I never imagined it would lead me to meeting the man of my dreams. Ryan was the First Officer piloting the night flights that came into Brainerd and I was the Gate/Ramp Agent. It started with him doing his walk arounds to check for any damage that may have occurred during the flight and I would be either unloading bags, or at the gate greeting passengers that were deplaning. He stood out to me right away for a number of reasons; a few of them being that he is one of the most polite, respectful people that I had ever met and would always help us drag the heavy cart to the door to give the passengers their bags. He has a smile that's enough to make your heart skip a beat, and his eyes squint up when he's smiling. Every night that he would fly in, I would be anxiously waiting to catch a glimpse at that smile. This went on for a few months with minimal words exchanged but his repour around the office grew quickly. Everyone looked forward to nights when "Georgia" would be flying in.

About Her

"People are weird. When we find someone with weirdness that is compatible with ours, we team up and call it love." - Dr. Seuss One of the greatest desires in life is acceptance. We all strive for acceptance, whether it be from our job, our friends, or even our family. Every person brings a special type of uniqueness to this world, for myself I use "unique" very loosely; you could substitute the word with infuriating and be just as accurate. Kaitie and I had a peculiar way of meeting, we worked together for a number of months and talked three to five times a week yet we knew nothing about each other. During our first date, I had decided that I was going to be my absolute "unique" self. Everyone who knows me understands how much of a gamble I had decided to take. Believe it or not, she never received "the text" and our date ended up being seven hours of laughing, smiling, and talking. Over the next few months Kaitie and I spent more and more time together, even having the opportunity to be on crutches together. She has always given me complete support, whether it be my weight lifting obsession or when I moved across the country for a new job. Kaitie absolutely accepted me from our very first date and because of her I have become a better man. She is the most amazing, hardworking, beautiful person I have ever met and I am beyond thankful that she is the one I will spend my life with.

About Him

People always say that love isn't in the grand gestures; it's in the little things. The day-to-day small ways that you show your love for each other. In order to give you a small glimpse of what makes me fall in love with Ryan everyday I have to tell you a few stories. Before I do, let me give you a short background. Before I went on the first date with Ryan I had no intention of falling so hard. I firmly believe that you're better off being alone until you find the right person. Ryan had my attention for a few months because of how sweet and polite he was, and I would be lying if I said his huge muscles didn't make me look twice. However, after we started talking it came so easily that I felt like I had known him my whole life after only a few weeks. Ryan is the type of person that puts his whole heart into anything that he sets his mind to. From the very first moments in meeting Ryan you notice his drive and ambition. What you don't see right away is the sweet little things that he does to show people that he loves them. One moment I will never forget was waking up after a long night of working at the airport. I had gotten home around 4am and went to bed. We were living in our first apartment together, and constantly getting woken up by the lawnmowers early in the morning. So around 7am it started. I was trying so hard to ignore it to get a few hours of sleep but getting more and more irritated by the minute. Ryan rolled over and covered my ear with his hand; I immediately relaxed. Such a small gesture with such a huge impact. Ryan does these little acts of kindness every single day. He says things that make me smile constantly. One day he was looking for his work ID, so I started to help him look for it. The first place I looked (the place it is every single day) is where I found it. So I said "Baby, it's right here." "Where?" he asked. I laughed and said, "Right here where it goes. You are the worst looker." His reply was, "I found you didn't I?" He says things like, "Baby! I missed you!" after being in the gas station for 5 minutes. Saying I fell in love with Ryan is putting it mildly. He is my person. The person that I can't wait to spend my life with and don't want to live without.
