What the heck is a truck bar?

Answer

One of the coolest venues ever! It has a coin operated arcade (bring your quarters if you want to play), cornhole, and music! PLUS a ton of old trucks and signage all around.

Question

You're getting married at a bar. Do I HAVE to dress up?

Answer

We have rented the entire bar for our wedding, and will be looking pretty fancy for you! While this is certainly not a black tie affair, these are pictures and memories we will have for the rest of our lives. Please dress semi-formal.

I noticed my invitation was addressed to just us. Can we bring the kids?

Answer

While we love your children, and we will have our own at the wedding, we are respectfully asking that your children stay home. We would like you to enjoy your time as adults, remember what it was like to be just a couple, and to allow us to not feel like we need to censor music and such for our wedding to make it child friendly. This includes all aspects of the wedding, as the reception immediately follows the ceremony.

Hey - I just met this person, and this is crazy. But can I bring my new friend to your wedding?

Answer

While we are super happy you met somebody, please do not bring a guest to our wedding unless they are included on the invitation. Our venue can only hold so many people, and we would like to only have those we have known for a long time and have played a role in our relationship attend. We will be happy to meet this new person on a later date!

How do we get back and forth between the Truck Bar and the Hotel?

Answer

Luckily, the Truck Bar and the hotel are approximately 10 minutes from each other. They are both located in populated areas, so there are a few options. Please drink responsibly. OR. Plan on calling an Uber.

Wait, this is a bar. Are drinks unlimited?

Answer

Sorry, but there is only 3 hours of open bar. That 3 hours will not start until after our first dance. If you would like beverages outside of that time frame, please plan on paying for your beverages.

Your wedding is at an odd time - what are you serving for food?

Answer

We will have a variety of foods catered by Square Peg Pizza. We know there is a large variety of diet preferences, and we will do our best to accommodate. However, there are no meals for you to pick individually, as this is a buffet style wedding.

Are you having a bridal shower, stag, or some other pre-wedding event?

Answer

Yes! We are having a Jack and Jill! Our amazing wedding party has been working super hard at planning our Jack and Jill. It will be on March 29, 2025 at the Thomaston Fish and Game Club from 2 pm-6 pm. Please purchase tickets ahead of time from @paula-oneil-5 through venmo. $25 a person, $50 a family.
