So Scott and Kelly met at The Hartford in Jan. 2008. Kelly was married and Scott was stress free. Scott was a helping instructor for Kelly's insurance licensing class, and they became instant friends. Going on endless adventures of hiking with the dogs Oreo, Tigger, and Amber Grace (Hamburgers) as well as searching for food (guess who enjoyed the food more). Kelly and her ex had the genius idea of moving to Oklahoma City, and Scott was one of the brave souls who spent far too long in a small car with cat which included multiple laps around the the St Louis Arch (someone said they knew how to follow a GPS). After about a year Kelly had moved back with 1st child, and tried to reconnect. But it wasn't meant to be. They occasionally kept in touch with Facebook messenger or rare text messages, but there were no more adventures. 7 years and 2 kids later for Kelly, her previous marriage finally ended =). The day that Kelly had moved into her own place she randomly called Scott to apologize for the long period of silence. The friendship picked up right where it had left off years before and the adventures resumed. About 2 months after this phone call, they took a trip to Lake George where both realized there might be something more (along with a possible heart attack for Scott from taking an "easy" hike while intoxicated). A week after the trip, they became an official couple. Now the adventure includes a new little one, as well as the two previous children. The excitement of having everyone be part of their day is unmatched. They hope that everyone enjoys being part of the continuation of the story.
