Maid of Honor
Kleanza met Adalaya, or Addy, in her first year at Barton College while Addy was on a recruiting trip. They hit it off immediately. So much so, that Kleanza left their first conversation and told her dad that Addy was the first person Kleanza had made a true connection with since moving across the continent for school. They began talking more and decided to move in together for Addy's first year at Barton College- at that point they truly became inseparable. They won many Relay races in collegiate swimming together, always making executive decisions for the team’s walk out song (sorry to the others). Addy has been there for Kleanza during some of the most transformative years of life and Kleanza is so grateful for the friendship they share. Kleanza is thrilled to have her by her side as maid of honor!
Ellie Martin
Bridesmaid
Kleanza met Ellie in Kindergarten at Kiti K Shan elementary school. They immediately became best friends. They have memories of being children in Terrace - frolicking through the forest, riding their bikes, skiing, sleepovers, they even sang a duet together in a lclass choir performance. In grade 5 both of their worlds were rocked when Ellie's family moved to Vancouver and Kleanza’s family moved to Kitimat. Against all odds, they’ve managed to see each other at least once a year, every year since then! As young teenagers they stuffed their bras to watch the Movie Bridemaids in Theatres. Now 20+ years since first playing on the playground with her, Kleanza is honoured to have Ellie with her on her special day.
Leila Hutson
Bridesmaid
Leila and Kleanza met when Kleanza moved to Kitimat in Grade 6 but their friendship didn’t take off until much later. When Kleanza returned from living abroad in Australia for Grade 10, her group of friends had made another friend and that was Leila. Kleanza had asked her to bring a couple of brews before a backyard bash that summer and their friendship took off. They ended up being each other's date to Grad banquet (the Kitimat equivalent to Prom) and then spending most summers together during college. Leila is the perfect type A friend for Kleanza’s type B personality - she keeps them both busy and having fun. Kleanza is so happy to have Leila as one of her bridesmaids!
Laurence Boucher
Bridesmaid
Laurence is Kleanza’s favourite Quebecois! They swam together from Grade 7 until they graduated High School. When thinking about coming of age and getting that first taste of freedom with a driver's license, Kleanza’s first thought is of Laurence. For two years Kleanza drove Laurence from morning practice to Tim Horton's for breakfast, then to High School where they had multiple classes together. There's a certain level of closeness that comes when you spend 13 hours or more in the pool together every week and you run in the same circle at school. Kleanza will never forget the day her dad let them plan and host the biggest NYE party in Kitimat (if you know, you know). Or all the trips they went on together because of swimming. Now they both live in different cities but whenever they are together, it’s clear they’ve both grown, but their friendship remains the same. Kleanza is so excited to have such a great friend standing by her on her special day!
Emma Kenmuir

Kleanza met Emma in Kindergarten at Kiti K Shan Elementary school. They quickly became friends and because they only lived a few blocks away and could bike to each other’s house. Their childhood was filled with making music videos and playing games in the backyard. Kleanza claims half of her silly personality came from hanging out with Emma and her siblings as a kid. They’ve been to a couple One Direction concerts together, played soccer together, and even vacationed together. Emma is so funny and one of the sweetest people ever and Kleanza is so excited to have Emma next to her on her wedding day.
Jackson Willis
Best Man
Brian met Jackson when they were about 13 years old, playing on a travel baseball team. After that they went to different high schools, but both decided to give up baseball for tennis. They eventually became friendly rivals, each becoming the number 1 player for their respective school. They played many matches against each other but became much closer during the off season when they played for the same summer league team. They even played against each other in college club tennis! Brian would visit Jackson at his college by the beach very often (especially during the warm months). Now Jackson lives outside of Philadelphia with his fiance, Meg. Give him a congratulations on his own engagement when you see him!
Jared Johnson
Groomsman
Jared and Brian became friends around 7th grade. They played baseball, basketball, and football together from middle school until Brian stopped playing all other sports to concentrate on tennis. Jared was part of the crew of friends that would spend many weekends at the Ridgway home and he was always down for pickup basketball at the church gym down the road (Jared’s fadeaway jumper was unblockable). Jared has been married to Kelsey since 2019 and they live In Rocky Mount.
Richard Hall III
Groomsman
Richard met Brian when they were around 11 years old. They played football, basketball, and baseball together from middle school to high school. Richard was part of the crew that would spent countless nights at the Ridgway home, playing video games, ping-pong, and basketball until Brian’s parents would ask everyone to go to bed. Richard married Ines in 2021 and they recently had a beautiful baby girl, Lauren!
Kendall Parker
Groomsman
Kendall and Brian met playing middle school sports. While in high school junior varsity football, Kendall was the starting quarterback and Brian was his back-up. They often spent the beginning of practice playing catch to warm up. Once when they were about 16, they convinced each other to steal ice skates from the outdoor skating rink in downtown raleigh. After the parents all found out, Brian drove back to Raleigh to apologize and return them. Kendall has been married to Whitney since December 2018 and they have 2 cute little fellas of their own, Emmett and Wesley!
Tony Williams
Groomsman
Tony is Brian’s brother-in-law. He began dating Brian’s sister, Ashley, when they were about 16 and Brian was 13. Through that relationship, Brian gained a big brother. Tony was always willing to spare a few minutes to beat Brian at NCAA football on the xbox360, but also willing to lose a ping-pong match to Brian here or there as well. In April 2025 Tony and Ashley had their first child, Elias Christopher, and they are expecting their second baby boy in late September/early October!
