Many of you may not know this, but Kleanza was only 17 years old when she first met Brian at a college party. In late night dorm room talks with friends, Kleanza remembers admitting that Brian was the cutest one at the party, but nothing would come of it until much later... It was a classic tale of one or both of them always dating someone else but Brian was always in Kleanza's orbit. On one particularly bad night in 2017 at a house party, Kleanza ended up crying about her now ex-boyfriend in Brian's bedroom. Brian consoled Kleanza and told her that boy was not worth those tears. This interaction would later be remembered as the first significant moment between the two of them. If only Kleanza knew then, that she was talking to her future Husband! Fast forward to 2020 when the COVID-19 Pandemic impacted the world. Tinder was impacted as well - they had updated their settings to be able to browse people on Tinder from anywhere in the world. Kleanza changed her location to none other than Wilson North Carolina - her college town. After graduating, Brian was staying just outside of Wilson with his family when fate brought them together in the form of a match on a dating app. They spoke all summer long with Brian staying up till odd hours in the morning to accommodate the time zone difference and Kleanza's long hours at work. With sparks flying, Brian picked her up from the airport that August before the semester started. Kleanza had been looking for her wallet all evening - which if you know Kleanza, this wasn't out of character. After dropping her off, Brian saw it in his passenger seat and thought that she must've planted it in hopes that he would come back for a first kiss. He did and it was like something straight out of a novel. When the semester started and life continued marching forward, they went their separate ways but never really stopped thinking about each other. The following year at Homecoming the universe tried nudging them together one last time and it worked! They dated for a few months before making it official, and have been going strong ever since. <3
