Maid of Honor
Allie aka Bunney and Sarah were random roommates in grad school. They were both on the new class email chain when Allie asked if anyone wanted a roommate, and Sarah responded! They both figured that if it didn't work out, it would only be a year. 8 years later, they are Maid's of Honor in each others weddings and totally inseparable.
Best Boy
Bob and his two Best Men, Tom and Tony, all grew up right next door to each other. Bob and Tom have remained close friends their entire lives (with the exception of the occasional backyard brawl when they were little). Bob and Tom share a fandom (and sometimes hatred) of the NY Jets, and have many great memories of going to games through the years.
Best Man
Bob and his two Best Men, Tom and Tony, all grew up as next door neighbors. Bob, Tony, and Tom spent nearly every day after school playing made-up games in the backyard or playing video games in each other’s basements. Bob may have sent Tony to the hospital a few times when they were young.. These occurrences involved a cable box and a power rangers costume (not on Halloween) and once involving a golf club and Tony’s face. (I promise we actually were friends!) Tony also earned a special spot in Sarah’s heart when she first tried his ice cream - Beenie’s Ice Cream in Morristown, NJ. Check it out! Bob and Tony always remained close throughout the years.
Groomsman
Bob and Nick met when Nick and his fiancé, Lauren, moved to NYC in 2019. They became really close during quarantine when they were part of the same quaran-team and spent every weekend together (responsibly of course). Along with Brendan, Bob and Nick also developed a hobby (obsession) of purchasing and tasting bourbon since they became friends.
Bridesmaid
Christine is Bob’s older sister. Bob has always been close with his two older sisters, Chris and Jen. Bob and Chris share a love of fall seasonal beers with cinnamon sugar rims and binge-worthy tv shows. Chris has always been extremely caring and generous older sister to Bob.
Groomsman
Bob and Doug met when they lived on the same floor at the University of Delaware during their freshman year. They then went on to live together the remaining 3 years of college, along with Scott and Jordan. On Saturday nights, Bob and Doug often would find themselves taking over the (empty) upstairs dance floor at the bar, Catherine Rooney’s, and thoroughly embarrassing everyone involved with their aggressive dancing, including themselves.
Groomsman
Bob and Jordan met when they lived directly across from each other on the same floor at the University of Delaware during their freshman year. They were the lucky ones who lived in “economy single” style dorms aka 8.5’x9’ cells. They then went on to live together the remaining 3 years of college, along with Scott and Doug. Jordan served as Resident DJ, party-starter, and comic relief within the Apartment.
Groomsman
Bob and Scott met when they lived on the same floor at the University of Delaware during their freshman year. They then went on to live together the remaining 3 years of college along with Doug and Jordan. Scott and Bob spent late nights bonding (commiserating) over fluid mechanics homework. Scott also encouraged Bob to join the Club Rugby team during their junior year, which led to a separated shoulder and a swift end to Bob’s rugby career.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Lauren have known each other for a few years now, but got super close when Lauren moved to NYC, and especially during 2020. They were part of the same quaran-team and spent every weekend together! They both got engaged in 2020, and have been drinking gin and wedding planning since!
Bridesmaid
Abby and Sarah swam together almost their entire lives, but became friends during high school where they were on the swim team and dance team together. Abby and Sarah spent almost every morning of high school together, freezing in the pool at 6 am. In college they remained close, and many trips were made to Madison to see each other (and Kaitlyn too!)
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Sarah were teammates in college on the UWL Women's Swim Team, as well as rec volleyball teammates...turns out swimmers don't have great hand eye coordination as we didn't win a single game. Sarah and Rachel's friendship grew stronger as they both pursued Master's degrees on the East Coast, and loved having a little slice of home in a new place.
Bridesmaid
Dayna and Sarah also met in the dorms freshman year and were teammates on the UWL Women's Swim Team! Dayna and Sarah became close between sophomore and junior year of college when they both stayed in La Crosse over the summer. Dayna, Sarah and Katie spent many weekends in college together going to "The Library" downtown, and uhh...."studying".
Groomsman
Jake is Sarah's younger brother, and after years of tormenting each other, they became close when they both attended the same college. They both live in very different environments, but always love to get together in Colorado to enjoy the great outdoors and in New York City to enjoy all the city has to offer! (mainly sushi).
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Sarah were also teammates on the UWL Women’s Swim Team, and got much closer Lauren’s senior year when they roomed together for an away meet! They spent many nights studying in Centennial Hall at UWL, and even more nights drinking wine and laughing together. Since then they’ve remained close despite their long distance friendship!
Bridesmaid
Jen is Bob’s older sister. Bob and Jen have always been very close. They share a birthday (6 years apart) and a love for all things Reese’s candy. Jen is the mother of Bob’s favorite nephew, Owen, and has always been a supportive and protective older sister to Bob.
Groomsman
Jeff is Bob’s brother-in-law who is married to his oldest sister, Jen, and father to Bob’s favorite nephew, Owen. Bob and Jeff first met when Jeff and Jen started dating in 2009 and they have been like family ever since.
Bridesmaid
Katie and Sarah lived across the hall from each other in the substance free dorm (LOL! we moved out as soon as we could) in college and also were teammates on the UWL Women's Swim Team. Sarah knocked on Katie's door to see if she wanted to go to the swim team BBQ meet up, and they've been friends ever since.
Groomsman
Bob and Brendan met when Brendan started dating Sarah’s Maid of Honor, Allie, in 2016. Bob and Brendan quickly became quick friends and have remained friends through their shared passions for breweries, bourbon, drinking games, and dad jokes.
Bridesmaid
Kaitlyn and Sarah became close during high school swimming, and also grew up a few blocks apart! Through the years Kaitlyn has introduced Sarah to the finer things in life, like Hanson, vodka & pineapple juice, and maybe most importantly, Oochie Wally.
