Getting to Port de Soller: Car Hire, Taxi or Bus?

There are lots of relatively inexpensive car rental options from Palma Airport and it is best to book these in advance. Make sure your accommodation has parking because parking is limited in the town. Taxis to Port de Soller are approximately 50 EURO per car (30 minute journey). A single on the bus is about 3 EURO and a return is approx 6 EURO. The bus can take up to an hour from Palma to Port de Soller. Directions for the bus. Take the N1 airport bus to Palma city bus station. (Intermodal Station – Plaza de Espana). A single ticket is €5 and under 5’s are free. Buses go every 15 minutes on average although after 21:30 only every 30 minutes. Then from the Estació Intermodal Palma bus station, take either bus 210 or 211 to Soller or Port de Soller. The TIB island buses in Mallorca are all comfortable and air-conditioned.

Port de Soller is really popular in September so please make your accommodation arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability. Another nearby location to stay is Soller. A beautiful town and only a 5-10 minute drive/taxi away. There is also a tram that runs between Soller and Port de Soller.
