Centred in Soller in the heart of the rugged Tramuntana mountain range, we at Tramuntana Tours offer you a variety of ways to discover the spectacular surroundings. Our excursions give you the opportunity to get closer to the real Mallorca, either on foot, by bike, sea kayak or boat, always accompanied by an experienced guide. If you prefer to discover the area by yourself, then why not hire a bike?
Discover the history and richness of the oranges and lemons of the Sóller valley, while you experience the appeal of a unique spot. The orchard “Sa Vinyassa”, with 18.000 m2, is a privileged spot, under the impressive rocks of the Alfabia ridge, between Fornalutx and Biniaraix. Come to promenade and to know the history of the orange trees of Sóller, and you’ll enjoy a peaceful environment and a special micro-climate, while you taste a just squeezed organic orange juice, and a typical snack.
The town's tram is a tourist attraction in itself. It travels from Port de Soller to the inland village of Soller through the valley. Its passengers can admire the olive, lemon and orange groves on the way. From Soller, you can take the vintage train to Mallorca’s capital, Palma. Whilst the train is an experience in itself, the views out over the mountains and the valleys through orange and lemon groves are simply divine.
The small coastal village of Deià, on the northwest coast of Mallorca, is one of the prettiest villages on the island. Perched in a ravine at the foot of the Teix mountain, with views out to the Mediterranean below, Deià has long been a magnet for famous artists, writers and other creative people – most notably the writer Robert Graves. More recently, acclaimed author Helen Walsh’s 2014 book The Lemon Grove was inspired by, and set in, the ruggedly seductive setting of Deià. As one of the highest populated zones of the Serra de Tramuntana, Deià is part of a landscape awarded World Heritage Site status for the way in which nature, culture and traditions triumphantly merge.

There is an assortment of hiking routes available for all levels of ability within close proximity of Port de Soller. A climb of less than an hour from the port brings you to Cap Gros lighthouse, famous for its panoramic views of the bay. Alternatively, the mule track between Soller and Deia might appeal to the more experienced hiker, where you will be rewarded with rock gardens and olive groves. Walks further afield into the Tramuntana mountains are also plentiful. To get the most of the area we recommend hiring a guide or joining an organised hike.
