Although the ceremony will take place here, we recommend riding the steam train before the wedding! The Forest Steam Train is a little over an hour long ride through the beautiful redwoods. You can also take the Beach Train from Roaring Camp to the Boardwalk. Redwood Steam train departs at 10:30am, 12pm and 1:30pm, and the Beach Train departs 10am or 2pm both Saturday and Sunday. Kip and Melissa will be riding the Forest Steam Train Saturday the 23rd at 12pm if you would like to join! If you are interested in riding the train, please book your tickets in advance! Weekends are busy and book out quickly. If you will be buying tickets, please let Melissa know once you have purchased so we can get you a refund for your parking pass (parking is free for wedding guests).
Kip used to live across from the Boardwalk when we were first dating and we would hear the screams from the roller coaster all day in the summer!
A beautiful walk along the bluffs overlooking the ocean.
We used to come to this beach a lot when we lived in Santa Cruz. One of our favorite spots!
Stroll the streets of Pacific Avenue for shopping, restaurants, and music!
Fun community gathering place in downtown Santa Cruz with art, food, and music. We come here on weekends often!
Visit our alma mater, UCSC! Lots of great memories for us here. If you get a chance go visit the native gardens at the Arboretum where Melissa used to work!
Next to Roaring Camp and just a short stroll from our house in Felton. We love hiking through the Old Growth Redwoods and along the San Lorenzo River trail.
Hidden gem in the Santa Cruz mountains! We love hiking the trails around the Loch Lomond reservoir.
Close to our house, it's a beautiful place to go wine tasting and relax.
