We’re getting married!

Every couple has a meet-cute story. Luckily for Kimmy and Vinh, they’ve got two! It all began in 2016, at a Halloween-themed birthday party in Davis, CA. Hosted by Vinh’s housemates—Chris, Long, and Kevin—the apartment was buzzing with college students, all trying to make the best of their Halloween costumes. Vinh confidently rocked a bacon-and-eggs ensemble that was an instant hit. Kimmy, ever the fan of a good costume, found it hilarious. They exchanged quick introductions, but as with any college party, the night was a blur for Vinh. He had no recollection of meeting Kimmy the next day. Fast forward a month. On a casual Saturday night, Kimmy and Long decided to grab boba at Gong Cha. While waiting in line, Long spotted Vinh, Chris, and Kevin. What a coincidence! As they exchanged greetings, Vinh, not recognizing Kimmy at first, extended his hand with a friendly smile and introduced himself, “Hi! I’m Vinh.” Kimmy, with a cheeky grin, shook his hand and replied, “Oh, I know who you are.” Vinh blinked, a little confused. “You do?” Kimmy nodded, “We met at Chris' party!” Suddenly, the fog of that blurry night lifted for Vinh, and everything came rushing back. The group sat outside to chat and played a hilariously frustrating round of “The Umbrella Game.” Amid the laughter, Kimmy got a little too excited, and—well—let’s just say her milk tea took an unexpected detour through her nose. As the group tried to compose themselves, Vinh was the first to jump up and offer napkins. Kimmy’s embarrassing moment became a bonding moment, but as for Vinh, he knew that was the moment he fell for her--just kidding! Their love story took its time to unfold, and when it did, it was worth the wait. And that’s how Kimmy and Vinh’s story began—a series of unexpected moments, from bacon and eggs to boba tea, that slowly turned into something unforgettable.
