The pier was rebuilt after a pair of storms in the 1980's and now stretches 1,850 feet into the Pacific - making it one of the longest piers on the West Coast. What looks like an air traffic control tower is actually Lifeguard Tower Zero, manned 365 days a year by an internationally respected group of marine safety professionals. The Huntington Beach Pier is open daily from 5 am - Midnight.
