Disneyland

The Huntington Library
The Huntington is a research and cultural center surrounded by 120 acres spread across 12 specialized gardens. Originally the private estate of railroad magnate Henry Huntington, it is one of Southern California's must-see cultural destinations with magnificent collections of rare books, manuscripts, and famous works of art including Gainsborough's "The Blue Boy," Mary Cassatt's "Breakfast in Bed," a Gutenberg Bible, an illuminated manuscript of Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, and a First Folio edition of Shakespeare.
Griffith Observatory
Griffith Observatory sits on the south face of Mount Hollywood and overlooks the Los Angeles basin. Its location gives visitors impressive views of the surrounding area, which many rave about. But there's more than just a pretty photo-op here. If you're looking to spend some time outdoors (without fighting traffic to get to the beaches), Griffith Park is the place to be. The park features more than 50 miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, soccer fields and more. You will also find a variety of attractions here, including the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens, the Hollywood sign, the Autry Museum of the American West and, of course, the observatory. Past travelers enjoyed taking in the park's views, especially those provided during their hikes to the Hollywood sign.
Universal Studios Hollywood
One of the most popular attractions in the Los Angeles area, Universal Studios Hollywood features rides and amusements based on some of the most popular scenes and characters from film and television. You can take the tram Studio Tour past the creepy Bates Motel from "Psycho" and get caught up in a high-speed chase with the "Fast & Furious" cast. Kids can shake hands with cartoon favorites like The Minions and Scooby-Doo. Of course, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is another huge hit, as is Jurassic World – The Ride. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, a new attraction opened in 2023, features a Super Mario-themed ride, interactive games, a restaurant and shop. If thrills are your thing, there are plenty of hair-raising coasters and rides. On Transformers: The Ride-3D, riders join Optimus Prime in his battle against the Decepticons; meanwhile, youngsters will love the 3D ride Despicable Me Minion Mayhem (complete with a Minion dance party).

Huntington Beach Pier
If you're looking for a place that captures the spirit of Surf City USA, head to the Huntington Beach Pier. The city's most famous landmark, the pier dates back to 1904 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The pier was rebuilt after a pair of storms in the 1980's and now stretches 1,850 feet into the Pacific - making it one of the longest piers on the West Coast. The pier is also home to the Surf City Store, Kite Connection, and Let's Go Fishing. What looks like an air traffic control tower is actually Lifeguard Tower Zero, manned 365 days a year by an internationally respected group of marine safety professionals. The Huntington Beach Pier is open daily from 5 am - Midnight.
