Arthur Higby

Best Man

Andrew and I grew up a short walk away from each other and have been best friends since I can remember. We were sports teammates growing up and then made the change to beer-drinking teammates as we grew older. When we both went away to school, life got busy and it was difficult to stay in touch (our poor texting skills didn't help either), but when we finally got a chance to talk it was like we were never apart and our friendship picked up right where we left off. We live far apart now, but we are able to bond over our passion for beer, F1, and other similar hobbies. As best man, I will make sure he is on time for his big day (my biggest assignment from Kim) and will have a drink ready for him at all times. Can't wait to stand next to him on his day!

Lauren Colavito

Maid of Honor

Hi! I’m Lauren, Kim’s favorite sister and I’m also her maid of honor. Growing up, besides the typical sister fights and wanting to kill her because of how messy she was [and still is...good luck Andrew], I’ve been able to watch Kim grow into the strong and beautiful women she is today. I’ve watched her knock out all the goals and dreams she wanted to. Now she’s finally getting to marry the love of her life, and I’m excited to be by her side for it. I can’t wait to dance the night away and throw back tequila shots with the newly weds!

Marissa Grable

Groomswoman

Andrew and I became friends after playing on the same coach pitch team together when we were just little tykes. We both agree that there was a bonding moment around the 5th grade involving a family function resulting in us hiding out talking for hours on the playground nearby where we became best friends. Throughout the years, our families became increasingly close, and somewhere along the way Andrew and I became family. As one of Andrew's groomswomen, you will most likely find me on the dancefloor (and if I'm not I'm probably trying to find Andrew and Kim to bring them back to the dance floor with me!).

Elise Galipo

Maid of Honor

Although Kim and I both had the pleasure of going to the University of Hartford (and meeting two goons named Andrew and Zack) we never had the pleasure of being friends during college, but that didn't last long. When Kim and Andrew decided to move to Maryland in 2017, Kim and I had a "few" drinks and soon became fast friends. We quickly realized we would much rather spend time with each other than our always late and don't-know-how-to-make-dinner-on-time boyfriends. Kim is always there to hand me a fireball shot and a good time, and I will gladly return the favor on her wedding day! Cheers to the happy couple, I can't wait to keep making bad weekend decisions with the two of you!

Zack Cleary

Groomsman

At UHart, I was lucky enough to have been friends with Kim & had as little interaction with Andrew as possible. Sadly for Kim, I was still unable to set her up with anyone better than him, so here we are I guess. When Kimdrew moved to MD, Kim & Elise quickly realized that all our friends had purposely separated Andrew & me for everyone's health, safety, & sanity. Since then, he & I have enjoyed countless weekends of sketchy cocktails, listening to records, drinking way too many beers, & being bad influences on each other, all while the girls disapprovingly watch on. I still feel bad that Kim is marrying below herself, but if anyone is going to make her happy, it's Andrew (while Kim "gently" guides his every move). Congrats to the newlyweds, next round is on Kim's new joint bank account!

Emily Fitzsimmons

Bridesmaid

I am Kim's "little" sister (well not biological of course), but we always knew we had a connection when we learned that we shared the same birthday! We met through our sorority and Kim was one of my biggest motivator's when it came to academics, fitness, and of course she was the first person to pass me a shot at any pregame OR cheer me on while I drank from an ice luge. You can expect me to return the favor and have drinks poured for Kim at any given moments and then we will be ready to tackle the dance floor together (Kim's dance moves will absolutely be the show stopper).

Catalina Vasquez

Groomswoman

Andrew and I had friends in common from a young age, but we really became close in Judo (a sport that both our fathers loved). After highschool, we both went our separate ways, but Andrew and I always kept in contact - even while I was in the Peace Corps in Cameroon. When I came back from the Peace Corps (homeless and jobless) Andrew and Kim graciously took me into their home while I looked for a job in DC. While I was there, I saw Andrew and Kim's relationship up close and personal and I witnessed their relationship go from "two people dating" to "these two need to get married now." I can honestly say that Andrew and Kim are made for each other and I am so happy my best friend found someone like Kim to spend the rest of his life with.

Julia Borges

Bridesmaid

I met Kim in college. We became sisters by joining the same sorority and became even closer when I followed in Kim's footsteps as president, even though Kim's act was impossible to follow. Our friendship was cemented the winter Kim broke her elbow, and there were many car rides and opportunities to fill in on any two handed activities. Although I have nothing on Kim's moves, you can find me tearing up the dance floor or testing my standup in a group. I may or may not also be sobbing during the ceremony. I look forward to seeing the two lovebirds start their lives together!

Lane Miller

Groomsman

Andrew and I were acquaintances at the University of Hartford before studying and living together at Penn State, where we - unfortunately for Kim - realized that we largely possessed the same stupid sense of humor. When we aren't sharing a laugh at the expense of an innocent person, we always enjoy discussing music, and trying to analyze beer flavor profiles. To the dismay of the bride and groom, I will probably be the person at the wedding calling everyone "dude" (no exceptions) and politely asking that the PA system levels don't exceed the threshold for hearing damage. I look forward to meeting everyone and celebrating Kim and Andrew's big day!

Kristin Micallef

Bridesmaid

Kim & I met in college when I joined Phi Mu. She was always so welcoming and our personalities clicked from the beginning, leading us to become big/little! So many of my greatest UHart memories involve Kim and I'm so happy for her and Andrew! Can't wait to celebrate this special couple after quarantine!

Ashley Mondini

Groomswoman

As one of three groomswomen, I am one of the girls that will be making sure Andrew keeps a drink in one hand and a watch in the other (because we always know Andrew is running late). Andrew and I have been friends since our days in Rosendale Elementary School and over the years we've graduated from juice boxes to beer together. Andrew is my closest friend from childhood who always gives me the best advice and an ear for listening. Andrew and I continue to share a love for breweries, music, and just spending quality time together. You can expect me at the wedding to have my shoes off and on the dance floor whenever the music is playing.

Jess Merck

Bridesmaid

Growing up, though Andrew was the sweetest and most adorable brother in the world, Andrew is still Andrew...and I wanted a sister. When I found out that Andrew and Kim were getting married, I questioned Kim's sanity for a half a second. I soon realized, after spending 3 quarantine months together, that KimDrew was perfect for each other and Kim is not insane, she's just a saint. I'm so happy and still a little shocked that Andrew was able to find someone that not only compliments him, but brings out the best in him. It only took 31 years to get the sister I've always wanted and I'm so grateful that turned out to be Kim. I know, without a doubt, our Dad will be smiling down on them on their wedding day, full of pride at the man my brother has become & the amazing woman he's chosen to marry.

Christine MacKinnon

Groomswoman

I have had the pleasure to be friends with Andrew for many years, and he is certainly one of the most unique individuals you will come across during life. I've never met someone who is determined to examine and understand all aspects of life and use those findings to dictate his choices. In recent years, I have been lucky to grow my friendship with Kim, who I've found to be a strong, confident woman that knows exactly what she wants in life. She has the motivation and strength to accomplish everything she sets her mind to and she has the love to be able to handle Andrew's many accents, timeless energy, and his passion for creating his own beer even if he drags her into the process every time. Cheers to the couple, I can't wait to be there to celebrate the beginning of the next chapter.

Collin Dimler

Officiant

Andrew and I have been close friends ever since we met in early elementary school. I first met Kim freshman year of college when I visited Andrew at the University of Hartford where they both attended. Andrew and Kim were only friends at that point, but I knew that it couldn’t last long. Their chemistry was undeniable, and truth be told, I remember hoping Kim would be a part of Andrew’s life forever during the very first time that I met her. Now I live in West Hartford, quietly wishing every day that Andrew and Kim will move back to be nearer, but even from afar I love seeing how beautifully their friendship and relationship have grown.
