Train
You can take the light rail from DIA to Denver. We have chosen to have this event in Denver so that our guests do not need to rent cars - Denver is very walkable, lots of lightrail lines, and uber/lyfts should be short and easy. Also it has historically been very easy to sneak onto the lightrail for free. Just say you're a student at Metro State, CU Denver, or University of Denver and forgot your pass if you're on a train that does checks. Most trains don't check for tickets, and if you see someone doing checks it's quite easy to hop off the train and get on the next one. Willy is sorry for condoning criminal behavior and Kimber is not. Eat the rich. We have changed our venue and are looking into hotel options that make more sense with the shift. There aren't really hotels walkable to the venue, so we are thinking we will probably look at hotels near the convention center and are also deciding if it is in the budget to figure out transport from one specific hotel to the venue to make it easy.
Hotel
After the sale of our initial venue and selecting a new venue we are figuring out what hotels make most sense to suggest, and are also considering if it's in our budget to rent transport from the hotel to the venue as there are not convenient hotels walkable to our new venue. Stay tuned, we will update this once we have more information.
Travel Note
We have several guests coming from out of town - we have made a spreadsheet for people looking to road trip and hoping to have companions to save on cost, or people who might want to split hotel room costs as well. Feel free to help yourself to the spreadsheet to make some connections.
