One of Kim’s favorite things to do on any trip is to find the closest coffee shop. Especially, getting to go on a walk with her morning coffee. We encourage you to check out the Lyric Coffee House - a cute coffee shop and a 10 minute walk away from the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel. Grab your coffee and take a walk along the riverfront! Fun fact: Lyric Coffee House used to be a theater. A not-so-fun-fact: Steve doesn’t drink coffee! Luckily, he is always accommodating in making sure Kim gets hers while traveling.
Stop by 1000 Islands Artisans and Delicacies for locally made goods, gourmet treats, and unique gifts. Then grab a bite at Bet’s Bagels, a hometown favorite known for fresh, hand-rolled bagels.
Explore beautifully restored vintage boats, hop aboard a river ride, or tour a historic houseboat right on the St. Lawrence River.
Because we are getting married at Boldt Castle on Heart Island, all guests have access to Boldt Castle and its grounds the entire day of June 13. The Boldt Yacht House is not on the same island as Boldt Castle. You can access the Yacht House by driving. You can get to Boldt Castle from the Yacht House via a boat shuttle. Should you desire to get to Boldt Castle earlier in the day to explore, please see our Additional Boat Options FAQ. Should you not want to go to Boldt Castle or the Yacht House on the day of our wedding, we still recommend checking it out another day if you have the time!
We would love if you used our wedding as an excuse to take a trip to Montreal, one of our favorite cities. After all, we did discover the Thousand Islands while on a roadtrip to here. Montreal is about a 3-hour drive from the Thousand Islands. Ask us directly for our favorite spots!
