Question

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we appreciate the love and enthusiasm you have for us, we kindly ask that all guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We want to create a meaningful, distraction-free moment for everyone—especially for us at the altar. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture everything beautifully, and we promise to share those photos with you afterward. Please keep phones and cameras tucked away until the ceremony has ended. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Where to fly into

Answer

Syracuse Hancock International Airport- 1 hour, 20 minute drive to Clayton, NY Montréal Trudeau International Airport- 2 hour, 40 minute drive to Clayton, NY

Question

Boat Information

Answer

There will be two complimentary boats transporting guests to and from Boldt Castle for the ceremony. A one-way boat ride will last approximately one hour, with the boat ride to the ceremony likely being slightly shorter than the boat ride back to the reception venue. Each boat is covered with a roof and features isinglass windows, which can be rolled up or down depending on the weather—so you'll be comfortable rain or shine. All boats are also equipped with restrooms for your convenience. We hope you have an amazing time enjoying the scenic views of the Thousand Islands! For the times of boat departures, please see our Schedule section.

Question

Is parking available at each venue?

Answer

Reception Venue – 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel: Complimentary parking is available onsite for all guests—whether you're staying at the hotel or simply driving in for the boat ride and reception. Feel free to leave your car here while you enjoy the day’s festivities. Ceremony Venue – Boldt Castle: Boldt Castle is only accessible by boat. If you need a shorter boat ride or happen to miss the scheduled departure from the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel, don’t worry—alternative transportation options are available. Please see the additional FAQ below for an alternative boating option.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our wedding celebration an adults-only event, with the exception of immediate family children. We hope you’re able to take this as an opportunity for a relaxing night out—and we so appreciate your understanding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail/semi-formal attire. We’ll be celebrating outdoors and traveling by boat, so please keep comfort in mind—think dressy, but weather-friendly! Guys: feel free to opt out of wearing a jacket if it makes you more comfortable!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors, with outdoor space available for mingling.
