Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

While we appreciate the love and enthusiasm you have for us, we kindly ask that all guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony. We want to create a meaningful, distraction-free moment for everyone—especially for us at the altar. We’ve hired a professional photographer to capture everything beautifully, and we promise to share those photos with you afterward. Please keep phones and cameras tucked away until the ceremony has ended. Thank you for understanding!

Can I bring my children?

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to keep our wedding celebration an adults-only event, with the exception of immediate family children. We hope you’re able to take this as an opportunity for a relaxing night out—and we so appreciate your understanding.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors, with outdoor space available for mingling.

Our dress code is cocktail/semi-formal attire. We’ll be celebrating outdoors, so please keep comfort in mind—think dressy, but weather-friendly! Guys: feel free to opt out of wearing a jacket if it makes you more comfortable!

The Thousand Islands are located in the St. Lawrence river, separating New York and Canada. All venues for our wedding are located on U.S. territory, so, unless you choose to go into Canada - no, you will not need your passport!

Is parking available at each venue?

Answer

Reception Venue – 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel: Complimentary parking is available onsite for all guests—whether you're staying at the hotel or simply driving in for the reception. Feel free to leave your car here while you enjoy the day’s festivities. Ceremony Venue – Boldt Castle: Boldt Castle is only accessible by boat. Boat shuttle to the ceremony at Boldt Castle from Uncle Sam Boat Tours in Alexandria Bay: Free parking is available. Car pooling is encouraged.

There will be a boat departing from Uncle Sam Boat Tours (7 James St, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607) to take guests to Boldt Castle for our ceremony. Should you miss the boat, you may miss the ceremony. Please allot enough time for parking. We encourage you to carpool with others. Please see “Schedule” for boarding and departure times. After the ceremony, you will have time to explore Boldt Castle and its grounds before heading back to Alexandria Bay. Should you miss this boat, you will have to buy a ticket and take a public shuttle, so please don't be late! Boarding and departure times can be found under “Schedule.”

What if I miss one of the boat shuttles?

Answer

If you happen to miss either of the provided boat shuttles, you will have to ability to purchase your own ticket on a public shuttle, these leave every 30 minutes, and cost $10.

Will Squire attend?

Answer

Squire will be spending the weekend with his best doggie friend named Fries in Harrisburg. (Via a dog sitter we found on Rover last year that Squire loves!)

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Answer

We will be hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc - a 100+ mile hike circumventing the Mont Blanc mountain range. This mountain range includes the tallest peak in the alps. This hike will take us through France, Switzerland, and Italy over the course of 10 days. We’ll be going in August 2026. We will fly into Geneva, Switzerland and then make our way to Chamonix, France to begin our hike!
