A Day to Remember

It was a cold Valentine's Day eve which smelled of adventure and new opportunities. Kierah only lived in Nashville for a few days when she found herself at a local bar. Little did she know, the place was packed full of Jacob's best memories. After an hour and a half alone, several notifications appeared across Kierah's phone. Jacob found her on Instagram and wasted no time DMing her. A few flirty messages later, the seat next to Kierah was no longer vacant. Jacob was as enchanting as his profile reflected, with his eyes and smile spewing out charm. Their first kiss was basically scripted in a Netflix rom-com. What Jacob and Kierah didn't know though, was that night was just a glimmer of the spark the would later ignite together. The two spent that pandemic year on a cat and mouse game, before Jacob got an opportunity in Texas. They kept in touch for a while, but communication was lost as they traveled down different paths. Despite not being in any sort of contact, they were connected by an invisible string. Both Kierah and Jacob were back living Atlanta, just 15 minutes apart from each other. Call 2020 foreshadowing, because Kierah was out getting a drink to celebrate her mother's 50th birthday when she got a notification on Instagram. Very much to her surprise, it was Jacob. Between every word, ellipses, and emoji, it felt like no time had passed between the two at all.
